Back on topic. Here's the latest photo of my 1: :D

According to Dinan, it's rated around 390hp/420lb.ft of torque at the crank. Take that E46 M3's! :D (Kidding).

Impressive shot. I'd love to have a 135i, but the E92 body is just soo pretty. I'm split 50/50 between performance and looks.

Yea the E92 is definitely a looker, but it's also on every street corner. The 135i is probably as rare as an E92 M3 these days. I hardly ever see them. I always get looks and thumbs up as I drive by as well as many people asking me to roll down my window to ask what car it is.

Nope, not fond of them either, much prefer the earlier ones.
vicious, what's the reason for the engine transplant?
Was toying with the idea of a RB26 transplant for my R33 as I've been offered one cheap, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

The reason for the transplant is always the same...more power. The secondary reason is I want to remake a North American version of my favorite Impreza, the Type R. That Japanese market only Impreza sported a 280+HP engine and trick aftermarket suspension bits FROM the factory. I've been wanting one of these for 10 years now and I'm glad that I now have the opportunity to play with one of my all time automotive loves. The other is a 69 Camaro, but good luck finding those on the cheap :(

As for the RB transplant, if your R33 is a GTR, then you shouldn't need it. That being said, if its not a GTR then the transplant is almost plug and play. But don't forget that you will also be needing a new subframe and complete running gear. That may become costly.

To DoFoT9: I prefer the older models to the new ones. The 09/10 STI's are bloated with overly soft suspensions. But, you can't fault their utility... ;)

So I turned 16 in June, got my license in July, and got this car Saturday, August. I'm in LOVE with it and cannot thank my father enough for what I've been blessed with. 2006 Acura TL w/ Navigation. It already had the A-Spec body kit and suspension, Decklid Spoiler, 40% window tint, and the optional iPod Adapter. The previous owner took amazing care of the car. Not a door ding or scratch on it. Here are a few of the many pics I have and will be taking. ;)

Wait. You need to have your permit for 9 months right?

And you get your permit when you're 15 1/2. So that means you need to be 16 3 months when you get your license.

Please tell me my math is wrong when I say that July is only 1 month after June. :p

Hmm not necessarily. I started drivers education in January 2009. Which gave me a "drivers education learner's permit." I'm not aware of any predetermined length that one must hold that kind of permit before they can get their license. You just have to wait 30 days after your 16th birthday to get your license. Indiana is pretty odd about their rules. If you have just a "learner's permit", you have to hold it for a year.

So I got my license July 7, 2009. And drove my dad's car around town until we found my TL. :D

Lucky you.

I need to be 15 6 months to get my permit, hold that for 9 months, getting my license (at the earliest) of 16 3 months. Making that July of '10.

Ouch. Lucky me, new Indiana laws went into effect one week before I got my license that prevents me from carrying anyone under the age of 21 in the car for 6 months, and I can't drive between the hours of 10PM-5AM until I'm 18. Grand.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12
The DeLorean assembly plant is about a 20 minute drive from my house, just outside Belfast. Went for a bit of urban exploration there a while ago, as the whole place seems to be abandoned. Quite sad really, as those are beautiful cars. :)

Yes, Beautiful cars that where oh so crap. A Renault-Volvo something Engine that was sluggish, Doors that leaked and didn't work properly, And Stainless Steel for a paintwork... (Which in itself is amusing, because you can use Sink Cleaner to polish it :D)

One thing that I do agree with in the car is the Lotus Chassis and Suspension, I mean, it's not exactly Lotus Elan handling, but the total curb weight of the car is only 1250KG! Which if you know, that is *exceedingly* light! And therefore is a pretty good handler! To be honest, as far as I know, the chassis is almost the same as one for an Esprit? And the Esprit is a beast of a car when it comes to cornering!

So yeah, great car, but, with a few problems...
