Yup! That is correct. Did that on Saturday. Swapped the OEM Prelude rails and seat pan onto the S2K. Bolts up perfectly and feels awesome! Looks like it was designed for the car as well.

do you have any oil issues with your lude?

all the ones ive seen burn so much oil.

i used to drive a civic with a h22 swap and it burned tons of oil as well.

Did you get aftermarket tinting on the windows? Or does Subaru just tint more heavily now? My wagon is really bright on the inside. All the windows are pretty clear/light.

I had it done at the dealership when I leased this car. The tint grade is borderline illegal, but I haven't been stopped in the almost 3 years I've had it.

As of right now I do not have any major oil issues. It's an H22 so its going to have some type of oil consumption. The H22A4 either burns or leaks oil due to some type of scoring in the cylinder walls from not breaking the motor in properly. The JDM H22A is less prone to this due to the hands on procedure when building the motor in Japan vs thre more of a production assembly line for the H22A4 made for North America. Depending on how bad the scoring is the more oil will leak or burn. You can install an oil catch can in between the PVC valve and intake manifold to help prevent the oil circulating and leaving black oily gunk inside the intake, intake manifold and motor. It helps out a bit but idealy you either want to replace the steam valve seals or the entire motor with a JDM H22A or with JDM Type S parts if available.

Don't want to be a grammar nazi, but it is PCV, not PVC. Stands for Positive Crankcase Ventilation. I've dealt with similar issues throughout my many years of DSM ownership, so sadly I'm very familiar with PCV problems.

Also had a Prelude. It was an '07 (bought new) with around 80K miles when sold and it burned oil quite a bit. I heard this was "normal", and the only real fix was an engine swap. I learned to live with it, always carried a few quarts of oil in the trunk. Loved that car :), I wish I kept it, but I just stopped using it once I got my new car.

oops! Sorry for the typo guys. Yes it is PCV valve. Thank you for the correction :)

You had an 2007 Honda Prelude? Are you sure it was a 2007? Honda stopped production on the Prelude after 2001.

Hahaha. Good catch!
That's the new(er) car, the prelude was '98

Didn't have too many pics of the old girl, but managed to find one. :)

Oh I see hah. Very nice Prelude. What's behind it? I keep thinking Porsche but I'm probably wrong.

It was actually a composite of two images. One shot capturing the dash at a stoplight, and the second shot capturing the car moving to get the light trails. Merged them together only to have the speedo say 0MPH. Did a little Photoshop mojo and changed it to ~120. :)
The tach was the dead giveaway. I can't think of many cars that can do 120 just off idle ;)
