Out of curiosity...how are you still driving a 2010 car? It's brand new!

quagmire - I would have liked the RS package. The truth is, i didn't order this car. I got a call from my dealer tat someone had backed out of the deal and they had a car available. This was at about 10:00am, I picked her up at 6:30 that evening. At the time there was about a 6 to 8 month wait. To be honest, since I purchased, I don't regret that I didn't get the RS package in the least. The Halo Lights are nice but nothing crazy to me... and the other stuff just didn't really do anything for me, so I don't feel like i missed out at all...

HippyFreak - I have had the car almost 8 months so far. I got it very early when they were literally just coming out of the factory. for me 8 months is a pretty long time. I'm 34 years old, got my first car when I was 16. I got through cars pretty quickly. In the past 4 years I have had:
Hummer H2
Chrysler 300c
Jeep Wrangler Unlimited
Lexus GX470
Camaro 1SS

Anyway, Still loving the Camaro.

Oh, and for anyone interested it's a 2004 Nissan Titan LE Crew Cab 4x4 w/offroad and tow packages, a 6" ProComp lift, 35" Nitto Mud Grapplers on 18" ProComp 8128's, and a bunch of other stuff.

I love on Long Island and drive to Westchester (about 90 miles round trip a day) and if you know NY traffic you would understand.

..Gromet

And thats a reason to buy a second car that you dont care about and ride dirrrty with 6 speed camaro instead of acting like a sissy and saying traffic. I would say deal with it but thats just me. and I do know NY traffic Lloyd

It's a ford, how bad can they be :) *teasing*

Hah, true.... Just got out of college last may, making 2 $300 Student Loan payments and then another $315/Mo. for car payments, $60 Cell phone, $50 Car insurance every month blows. Im one of those people that hates to see money just dwindle out of my account since i am working a job that doesn't pay too well right now.

Gotta tell ya, loving the car. Now i just wish i had purchased the moonroof and Microsoft Sync with it.

Don't instantly trust all you see.
Many people have posted Aston Martins before, I'm not sure any actually owned them...

The 2nd hand value of those Astons is actually quite poor, so having one isn't unrealistic at all. He's posted it before with more than enough proof that it's his.

Gromet, I have to ask... WHY did you get the Camaro in a Automatic?!

Wondering the same thing. I just don't get the point of a HP car with a slushbox. Manual, yes. Double-clutch or sequential gearbox, yes. Fluid-coupled torque converter, nope.

Because there is a lot more to choosing a transmission than simply "manual or automatic?"

My Camaro is an automatic too, for two reasons--it can handle a lot higher amount of power in stock form (the 350 cars of the third generation were only available with autos for this reason), and even that aside the auto has a much shorter first gear ratio of 3.06, which makes the auto the faster car, all other things equal.

Not to mention, if you drag the car, autos are dead consistent and slmost always faster (look at the fastest of the fast--they are all autos, many 2-speed powerglides etc).

That said, it really comes down to driver preference and what the car is used for. I'd love a six speed T56 in my Camaro, since it's a street car, but I have zero complaints with the auto--when you are pushing enough horsepower and torque, you'll find that the transmission experience is outdone by the sheer power experience; a friend of the family has a 68 Roadrunner with a 440 that turns 11.X quarters--and it's a street car--and it's an automatic--a Jerico straight gear clutchless 4-speed.

That's fine. You like autos. I don't. Dragging cars doesn't interest me either. Never has, and it's not a benchmark I would ever use to judge a car for me.
