ah, ok. Nice cars anyways though. I drive a dec. 2009 BMW X5 myself but when I am in Dubai I always feel like my BMW X5 is just another shopping car over there:p

I'd figured it's just the price. The BMW X5 cost like 105.000 Euros here in Holland as it would cost a lot less in Dubai or in the US for that matter.

But that Panamera is nice, can't stress that enough;)

The X5 is a great car. My sister has one and it's a pleasure to drive!

The V8 costs about Euero 55k here

Yes, it is. Yeah it starts at approx. 65k but add luxury and you will easily find yourself in the 90-110k EU. Holland has always been known for its expensive cars.

Germany or Belgium for example will easily get you the same car for 15-20k less.

Where do you live?

I must be the only person on the whole planet who thinks the E46 M3 looks far, far worse than the non-M E46 coupes. It's like they tried to make a wide-body car to look more agressive, and ended up making a car that was just flat out bloated and particularly hideous from the rear angles, because the car is simply too short beyond the front and rear wheels for a widebody to look good.

I'd take a built 330Ci over an E46 M all day long. For some reason those cars just don't look good to me. The E92 M on the other hand looks as it should--a lot leaner and cleaner and meaner.

That said, no offense to anyone with an E46 M...just personal preference. :)

this is the most recent pic (tonight, actually) of my car.... the silver civic in the middle.... Buddy of mine took the pic.

Long story short- three of us went for a cruse, turned around in this barn parking lot where apparently there has been drug deals and stuff stolen. The cop was sitting there blacked out, none of us saw her, and when we left (After we took a minute to talk) she bolted out after us, passed us all, and blocked our path. Took our license and ran our plates.

Nothing came outta it, she was just looking for some hooligans, and we looked suspicious.

It was a good cruse tho, had a great time.

I agree. I'd take a ZHP over the E46 M3.

But I could also say the same thing about the E36 M3. Well, except BMW forgot to make it a wide body, when compared to the non-M variants. The AC Schnitzer wide-body should have been how the E36 M3 rolled from the factory.

Nothing has been able to touch the flared fenders of an E30 M3, though.

Extra fun info: In the UAE, license plates do not belong to each separate car. The license plate belongs to the owner. Therefore license plates are being sold for ridiculous amounts. His license plate tells you he must be local. Not a foreign born citizen of the UAE. Why? Because foreign people are not aloud to choose or pay for their numbers. This one is quite nice, so it's been paid for and chosen carefully. But that's just my 2c ;)
That's how it is here in Massachusetts too. "Reserve" plates (plates bearing less than the typical six digits) belong to the owner, and can only be passed to immediate family members. In my case, the number I have is from the 1940s, and belonged to my grandfather. Now the state puts 150 or so in a lottery every year, but before the mid '90s, you could only get them if you were well connected to the politicos and law enforcement community. It's a big deal up here, and in some places, like the U.E.A..

Speaking of, here's my car this weekend way up in northern Maine, showing that cars can enjoy off-roading too (and on the trip, I hit 155,000 miles!):

I honestly don't care how people view my post. Really, I don't. I'm just being honest with my opinion. I dont like foreign vehicles, never have, never will. I have the same view on some of GM's products, Pontiac for example. Complete garbage, across the entire line. A slight exemption for the GTO, but the last decent Pontiac was built somewhere in the early/mid 70's.

Now, there is some foreign stuff that looks nice, I like the A5 & 330, they look good, drive fine, but for me to buy one it would never happen.

My next car will probably be a 2012 Roush Mustang, or some version of the Boss/Mach/CS whatever package thing they keep talking about adding. Who knows.

i agree...Ford all the way...the real last remaining free American car company... Yes i realize they have some overseas but the majority of their operations are in the USA

not that i mind foreign cars...well in THEIR own country anyways....i always hate it when americans dont buy american made cars, they wonder why the economy sucks(one of many reasons anyways, a small one too but still)....they should be buying our cars!!

the only exception is the audi r8!! :D my second favorite car.....Ford Gt first

Just picked up 2 old BMW's at auction. The first one is a 1982 628csi convertible with 8,662 miles and the second is a 1981 733i wagon with 9,002 miles. The wagon was made for the Frankfurt auto show and it is one of 2 in the world.

Very interesting! Would you mind me asking what they cost you? Those are Jalop chariots if I ever saw one.

Hey guys, I got a question for ya;

Today I started my Yukon after a long night of study-sleeping, and it ran like I had I put hammers in the gas tank. It was shaking, sputtering, pinging, you name it. No smoke was coming out of the exhaust that I could see, though. Sounded like WW2 artillery was going off in the engine bay.

The check engine light also came on solid at first, then started flashing. I ended up driving it home (5-10 minute drive) during which the engine light went off but it was still running kind of crappy. After I went to check up on it after letting it sit for an hour, it started up and ran as if it was brand new, and everything is fine now. I've been running it pretty low in the gas tank recently, I think it may have sucked up some crap from the bottom of the tank. (the parents are teaching me a lesson and took away my Visa card - :( )

I checked all the relevant fluids and nothing had gone amiss from I could see when I opened the hood. Anyone got any ideas? Was it just having an off day :p?

Pic related, it's my Yukon:

How many miles? Could be the beginning of a rod knock, aka the end of the engine. Engine light may have been from the oxygen sensor being tripped if it was running really lean/rich due to whatever was wrong with the engine.

I have nothing against American cars. I'm a proud American. But for me, part of being american is freedom of choice. Aside from a few select cars, I can't stand the design of American cars. Interiors are generally cheap(er) and most just don't feel right. If american car companies made better cars, more people would buy them. I agree that Ford is on a roll these days. They have some great cars in their lineup, but still don't tailor to my tastes personally.

I think the Ford GT was an amazing and beautiful car. I'd probably rock a ZO6 or ZR1 (if I could afford one) if I didn't need back seats. The CTS-V is the back seat equivalent, but I think those are one of the ugliest cars on the road today (again, my personal opinion).

250,000km, or about 150,000 miles. I hope it's not the end of the engine, I love this thing. It seems to be running fine now, but I would have for it to drop a major deuce when I'm on my way somewhere important or have a girl with me

Maybe I'll take it into my mechanic and throw him the old "wtf is goin' on" and see what he says.

Thanks for the help!

A friend of mine had a similar prob w/ one of his old nissans. the engine randomly started running rough. he suspected the catalytic conv. was going out so he gutted it. It ran fine after that. He's basically running a straight pipe now so its a bit louder :D

Thanks! Not the fanciest, but works for me.

Yeah, its a 335i. I am really happy with it- however the 1200 mile break in restriction is really testing my patience!

Here are a few more pictures:

I can only assume that the gap in the seat is to vent flatulence away and out of the cabin.

i kid, i kid! very nice and clean car!!

unrelated: check out the aftermarket bumper mod i picked up on the interstate!
