Finally got a new car, a 2011 335d...as in Diesel! 265hp @ 4200rpm and an amazing 425ft lbs of torque at 1,750rpm. I haven't been able to really get on it yet because of the break-in recommendations but its amazing. All while getting 36mpg on the highway. I'm in heaven!

I drive a 2010 335D with a tune fairly often... I see 27mpg average. It gets better mileage with the tune, as well as more power. ;)

Enjoy it, absolutely the best all around car I've ever driven...

Who is the tune from, does it void the warranty, and what are the pro's and con's?

I got over 400 miles on the FIRST tank! I was amazed. Its also kind of a cool feeling pulling up to the gas station and grabbing the green handle. :D

Hehe in the UK, petrol/gas is green and diesel is black like it deserves to be :p because of the smell from it and the soot out the back lol they should make diesel beige

Crappy pic, but I thought it was a striking illustration of just how small the NSX is.

It's not like those trucks are giant F450s, they're just plain stock Toyota pickups.

It's got a JBD (http://www.n54tuning.com/index.php?_a=viewProd&productId=60)
Picked up a couple mpg, added 40ish whp and 80ish ftlb. Haven't had an issue with the warranty, but I'm sure if the tranny, rear diff, or engine blows then they won't honor the warranty.

There's a law that requires a car manufacturer to show a mod caused damage before they can reject a warranty claim.

I'm aware of the law and I used it to advantage with my modded 2002 Mini-S quite a long time ago ( :( Miss that car. ).

It wouldn't be difficult to link a blown auto trans to a bunch of extra torque in what I -assume- is already a stressed transmission. That said, it's the same tranny in the E65 and E70 so it can handle a bunch of weight and decent power. I've yet to find any real info on how they hold up to real torque.

The incredibly warm weather in the UK (23C where I was today) has allowed me to do this:

(I meant to close the front boot before I took this, oh well)

At the front, maybe. But I'm yet to see an Alfa with any sort of decent design going on at the rear. It seems like the designers just get bored when they get half way along!

What is reliability like on this car? Does it live up to the Alfa Romeo reputation?

That looks pretty interesting. I would go for it in a minute if I hadn't pre-purchased the extended warranty, I don't want to jeopardize paying for only tires for the next 6 years/100,000 miles. The other thing is that I don't have the sport package, tires cost too much and have a short life for me. By not having the sport package my tires are pretty narrow, 225/45/17. With 525lb ft of torque I'd be sliding everywhere.

It's fat. It's slow. The AWD system weighs it down. If it were sold in that states I'd buy one even if it were powered by a 3cyl geo motor. It's unbelievably good looking.

With that said, stick the v8 from the 8C in there, combined with the AWD system....that's my dream car.
