I really feel this is going to be one of those timeless classics. And you have the right color too.
Nice!
I'm currently looking to test drive one of those once I get back to the States.

Almost forgot~
My X5
How do you like it? Thinking about purchasing, but I've heard mixed reviews (it was on the top 5 and worst 5 cars of 2011 also).

I bet your neighbours love you with that parked there!!!
I've never heard of those mags. I will look them up!
It's reassuring to know though I knew it was pretty good, but from someone 'in the trade', 'tis better. They threw in a Brian James trailer as well (in fact, during price negotiation, he accepted the offer for the car immediately, and haggled over 200 quid for the trailer. I got the impression I'd gone in too high for the car. Oh well.)
I won't be there this weekend, as I'm going canoeing, but if I make it to one, will defo look you up!
There was a minor issue when I got it - it wouldn't start, or did, then ran lumpy as feck - 2 manifold pipes were cold, so it was only running on 2 cyls. Very local to me was a chap who'd had them for years, had all the software etc. We traced the fault to the engine mgt. He reckoned it was one of the ignition chips that was fault. I phoned SBD, to find that they don't make my ecu model anymore - 800 quid for a new ECU, plus 800 quid for a new loom! Nooooo! Turns out he knew a chap that could repair them. Cost me 46 quid to replace 2 ignition chips+p&p (have to in pairs apparently). That was a great day.
Former VW driver and Audi driver for the past 10 years here. VWs and Audis are like a hot girlfriend. Lots of maintenance, but worth it for some. They aren't the most economical nor reliable, but they offer a bit more in refinement. Go for a test drive and see.
Here's my 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce
I have a 2009 GTI with almost 60,000 miles on it. If I don't drive like a moron, I can get 30 MPG. It's reliability has been flawless, I did have a CEL come on and the dealer fixed the issue under warranty, it's never left me stranded. Maintenance hasn't been too bad (free maintenance for the first 3/30,000 helps).
My only gripe, which I was reminded of this morning when I had to unlock my car the old school way with the key, is that my remote eats through batteries.
I've always loved subbies! My wife is on her second forester. What's that one got under the hood?

Took me some time to find it. Wanted a 2 door, manual, all wheel drive with black interior and the poplar grey accent. Found one with all the options I wanted. Loving the drive to work now. Now to debadge and plug the license plate drill holes, then some 197 rims.
Upgrade from my Jeep Cherokee you can see behind it. Saving me $150 or so in gas each month.
I like it A LOT!
VW lowered the price of the new Jetta, so, in doing so, the car had some minimal cost cutting. But nothing that makes a difference in the overall car.
I got the SE w/convenience package. So it has alloy wheels, sat radio, leatherett seats, the 2.5L i-5 engine matted to a 5-speed manual tranny, side mirror turn signals, leather wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, ect. . . It has all the ABS, ESP, ELD, ect. . . .
All for 20k. Thats after tax, tags, title fees, ect. 20k out the door.
Also, VW approved me for 0.9% financing.
So, for the cost and what you get it really is very good.
I have 11k miles on it so far with out any hic ups.
Here are a few photos I got while driving up Mount Washington:
