About to flick the switch on one of these, good deal before the financial year ends $38500 on the road.

Such a great car. My SO got a new 2012. I have a 2004 and am getting jealous. The 2012 interior is night and day, so refined.

Congrats on the high mileage. If you don't mind me asking, how much was the car with 500k miles on it? You rarely ever see something like that for sale lol

Nah, I don't mind you asking. I gave $2800 USD for it. The only extra expenses so far have been a new flex gasket on the exhaust system, a new gasket when I cleaned the EGR manifold, a new radio antenna and new pads for the brake and clutch pedals.

Here's the antithesis of my Insight Hybrid. Just washed it so it looks pretty good. At least, I think so. :D

Do you know if the batteries are still holding up after 500k? I know Toyota says the Prius is good for over 150k, but that's nearly 3 and a half times that estimate.

I have no physical proof, but the previous owner claims that the battery pack has been replaced twice.

The current  pack is about 50% functional. If I could get off my backside and build a grid charger it would probably bring the pack up to 75% or so.

A while back someone mentioned how they were surprised by all the nice higher-end cars in this thread. Its no surprise when you look at the "who's got a nice watch" thread, lol.

Since we're all showing off how great the fuel economy on our cars are...

I've had her for about a month now, and love her. 300hp of understated boosted goodness :)

I love the Volvo R models- they're a bit of a sleeper. Had a new S60 T6 AWD as a rental a month back and really liked it. Just a shame they're not bringing back the R models, they've only got the slightly tuned R-Design models now.

On my way to work today, I was playing with a Shelby GT500... I was almost able to keep up! He was shocked at what he thought was an old man in a Volvo following him. :D

My favorite car in this whole thread. Nice car.

Thanks so much!

Getting better than 8 MPG I presume then? :p

It's been doing about 17.5 around town (but then again, it's fun to drive and I tend to keep my foot into it). Considerably better than my Jeep Wrangler that I've been driving for the last 12 years. Maybe 22mpg with a mix of highway and city driving for the last tank.

Even with high-test fuel, it's cheaper to drive. Mine is the ZCP version, so it came with the track mode button on the steering wheel and no cruise or audio controls. I just did a factory retrofit last weekend to regain the cruise. I'm thinking the cruise control will improve my highway mileage a bit. Will find out this weekend. Last weekend's test drive (10 miles or so) was looking like 30mpg @ 65 on rolling terrain.
