Beautiful car indeed, but German engineering trumps anything Detroit has to offer. IMO of course

You need to drive the ATS. It has the better chassis than the 3 series. Especially since the F30 got even softer. You're doing a disservice if you're just going to go off perception and not form your own opinion after driving both.

I will miss the N54 and the ZF 6 speed auto that was in the 335xi, but the 3.6 liter V6 and the GM's own 6 speed auto isn't bad either. But the ATS handles better and more enjoyable to drive on the back roads. Also prefer the interior in the ATS over the 3 series as well.

Here's how I took delivery, I went through the PDI checklist and crossed off things I didn't want done which included removing any plastic so I drove off the lot with the exterior/interior plastic still on it. Had 5.8 miles at delivery:

After first wash and removing plastic:

Pulled over for a couple pics this morning on the way to the dealer:

Ignore the dark spot, it's crap on my lense:

Love this car and I did this car right; I ordered exactly what I wanted, didn't settle, was there when it came off the truck, didn't let them do any cosmetic prep and rode along on the prep test drive. Now I just need to detail and enjoy!

Congrats, love the color on the Mustang. Those GT500 mufflers will get a little louder once they break in. Mine did that, took a few hundred miles of running them. Definitely one of the best sounding mufflers for the Coyote!

Thanks guys, love the car, and love the exhaust! Even though this car is gray it gets so much attention out on the road. The first two days and 200 miles I drove it, I had so many people rubberneck as I drove by. Had a guy in a 2014 LCI 535i rubberneck down the freeway as I was pulling off my exit and he stuck a thumbs up out the sunroof. Had a MILF in a Lexus roll by who couldn't stop staring on the freeway. Had a young couple in an older 7 series roll by and the girl rubbernecked. Then had a guy and a girl in a 350Z that wanted to play on the freeway but I didn't take the bait (street racing is dumb).

This car is a lot of fun, and I really hope it turns out to be a great car.

As a bonus, my car came with Goodyear Eagle F1 summer tires instead of the Pirelli Pzeros 95% of the Brembo cars came with. Not sure why but I'm not complaining!

Also can't say enough about Apple Ford Shakopee in MN; entire process from beginning through delivery was perfect, as was the exhaust install the following morning. Extremely happy with my purchase, this is the car I should've bought to begin with; I know this is the case because I haven't bothered looking at or lusting after anything else since I got this car.

I have a 2008 Subaru Outback L.L. Bean Edition. Hand me down from my mum and I immediately tinted the windows. I wish it were a V6 with a better transmission but I'll survive. Honestly I'm a little disappointed in the quality of my 5S camera after looking at this on my laptop, then again some of you guys set the bar pretty high with your fancy cameras... and cars

One week in and with 350 miles on the clock, I took the last couple days off work to complete a full blown detail in, out, under the hood, and in the trunk. My body is killing me - one coat of glaze, two coats of sealant, and two coats of paste wax. Wheels got two coats of paste sealant and a final wipedown with a spray sealant, and all trim and tires got dressed as well. All interior surfaces got protectant, and the leather was cleaned/conditioned. New embroidered floor mats got some fabric protectant also (and of course everything got vacuumed). Under the hood just got a wipedown with a damp rag since it is still so clean from the factory, no need for cleaners. Wash was done with a wax stripping wash and light spot clay behind the wheels was done.

The iPhone REALLY needs to get with the program on low light photography, ugh…pretty much none of the pics turned out, oh well
