Heh, my first car was a 1964 1/2 Mustang 6 cyl (the small one) 3 speed stick. Bought it in 1972 for $400 and sold it for the same amount a couple years later.

Yours looks very nice! Gets me all nostalgic like.

Thanks!, She can be a real pain in the butt sometimes but its worth it. I've learned so much from this car. It's like learning how to keep a computer running on Windows, you have to know, or you're not getting anywhere. And it runs hot in the cabin. But it looks and feels like a mac.

My dad just put the order in a couple of weeks ago...should be here at the beginning of March....this isnt the exact car...anyways he got a 6 speed manuel, the pictures are automatic, but the rest is exact.

Crossing my fingers I will be on the insurance.

2008 BMW 335i twin turbo hard top cabriolet.

So... What's the crash test rating on that thing? I'd be scared of someone hitting me in it.

They're actually very safe... theres a video somewhere out there of a comparison between the smart and another regular sized car and the smart fares much better. Theres the "cell" which is like whats used in racecars apparently. Its also extremely good in the snow, it has a stabilizer that prevents the back end from sliding out.

4 Star EuroNCAP.

What's the maximum number of starts a car can get with the EuroNCAP system?

I sat in a Smart Car once, it was surprisingly roomy. I'm a pretty big guy and had about the same head and leg room as I have in my Tiburon (which looks like a Hummer next to a Smart Car) But I still don't think I'd own one. I like small cars, just not anything that small (and I imagine it's pretty slow too)

Not too shabby for something smaller than a soda can ;)

Since I'm getting a GTI in a few weeks, I checked the VW Golf on that site. I'm amused by the fact that in Europe, it's considered a "small family car", yet in the US, it's considered a go-kart with a radio and roof.

They're great in low-speed collisions, but the lack of any sort of crumple zone means that in high speed collisions all of the energy is transferred into using the seatbelt to cut the passengers into tiny pieces.

that's not fun :p

Yeah, they are amazing cars. If it were me buying it, though, I would go with the sedan version. I just like the looks better. Plus, it has more of that "sleeper" look. Either way, they are awesome.

I love the E92 and E93 better( the coupe and convert). Though the E90( sedan) M3 is exactly what I would buy. The E92's front end with the E90's rear end. :) As you can tell by my sig, my family has a 335xi sedan. BMW has underrated the N54( the TT DI Inline 6). So it produces a lot more then the 300 HP/ 300 lb of torque as advertised. Maybe by 30-40 HP as WHP has put it in the 280's. And having 100% of the torque being made at 1400 RPM is just sensational. There are many times when I drive it I think I am going 40 MPH and I look down to see my true speed...... 60 MPH. Been lucky I haven't passed much cops with it or been able to slow down fast enough when I do see them( another good thing about BMW's are the brakes!). Because doing 60 in a 30 won't exactly look good on my record( or with my parents).

I could go on about the car, but that will exceed the forums limit on how many words a post can have. :p

Dude, that SUCKS! We all know how much you loved your Disco. You gonna find another one if yours is totalled?

If given the choice, I would probably rather have an E36 M3. I just LOVE the styling of those cars, even if they're not as powerful or as advanced. They are just pure beauty in my eyes. Man, I love European cars.

Fortunately, nobody was inside when the knuckle-dragger smashed it.
