Yeah I’ve been so frustrated with this inability to manipulate text. I see there’s an iOS update but I haven’t installed it yet. I wanted to see if there were any problems with it first.
My Xr battery was phenomenal when I first got it but one of the iOS updates has made it drain faster.
I’m just really happy that despite my temporary bricking fiasco last night, the software updates have done such a nice job of making my Pixel 2 feel like a new phone and so far everything seems to be working on it.
I don’t connect to my car via Bluetooth on any of my devices, mainly because it’s always annoyingly quirky when I do, so if there are issues there I won’t know about them. But as I gradually slip back into using this phone fully it’s been very enjoyable so far. I’m getting used to swiping on Android.
At any rate, despite being a year old it’s holding its own well enough that I would feel fine putting it up against an S10 when the opportunity arises. At some point I will need to decide between Google and Samsung because I can’t afford to upgrade on both.
I may not be able to afford the S10 at all, at the rumored prices.
Samsung has beautiful hardware and some wonderful software features. But wow, my S9+ is still on Nougat and my Pixel 2 has already had a few updates on Oreo. That’s okay. I don’t mind being on Nougat on the Samsung. It all works as well as it did when I bought it, after all.
But it kind of blows me away that my Pixel 2 doesn’t feel dated. Lol well yeah the hardware looks hideously dated. But aesthetics are one thing. Functionally, it feels like it’s keeping up.
Bummed about your Xr, but not surprised.
P2 Functionally keeping up: that is great. Ditto for the Samsung.
I do not want a notch (except if it’s a teardrop notch), edge screen, or Face ID type stuff, another Moto and I am on Verizon. And those rumored prices are freaking scary. Does that leave me any Android brands? (I think Verizon sells Samsung, LG, Pixels and Motos).
I am happy to see the in screen fingerprint reader gaining traction in upcoming Android phones. Don’t mind the hole punch camera either.
