How do I go back to Android p and get out of the beta I have installed already? It's a bit buggy certain things flaking out and not working properly which is to be expected but I want to go back and not sure how to do that

can you un-enroll from the beta at google's website? I know in the past, if you did that, Google would send you an OTA to rollback to the previous stable version.

Just installed Q on my Pixel. Is it me, or is scrolling smoother? And I mean slow scrolling, where you are reading along as you scroll.

Ah poops, I did the un-enroll, and after the system did the downloads and install and rebooted, it was a fresh install. Total system wipe, back to zero.

Did not expect that, crap

It does warn you when you unenroll

Leaving the beta program
You may opt out of the program at any time to return to the stable, public version of Android. If you opt out when your device is running a beta version of Android, all user data on the device will be wiped. If you choose to stay enrolled until the end of the program, you will graduate from the program and receive an update to the stable public release of Q. Your device will not be wiped.

Holy crap, that's a huge surprise. I never thought Google would have prioritized things like icon shape customization. I know it's a stretch here, bear with me guys, let me guess that the icons are *slightly more rounded* ? Amazing... /s

But on a serious note the Q update is installing on my 3 XL as I type this. Dark mode and privacy changes that were sorely needed and hopefully just the tip of the iceberg. What a huge difference installing a beta months before a public beta is due, versus waiting 10 months for Samsung and Verizon to release an update.

I go back and forth between wanting a smaller size, but then I miss the bigger screen. I would love an Xr sized screen and form factor on the Pixel 4.

With that said, the XL does feel good and I prefer the lighter weight vs the iPhone Xr and Max.

Messed with the Pixel 3 and XL in Target today. The 3 felt so good in the hand compared to my XS Max. I have been with iOS for over 10 years with small dabbles in Android. With the S10 line and the Pixel line I am more enticed then ever to jump until the iOS releases in the fall. Just waiting for another deal on the Pixel line or big drops for the S10.

My XS Max just feels so....boring.

A few months ago, some of us posted a link to buy a pixel at a discount. Google was supposed to give a credit to those that referred. I know both of mine were used, but I never received a credit. Did anyone else who posted get a credit yet?

I got a credit just last week. I just randomly checked and never got a second email. I did get an email when someone used it though.

Be careful. iOS is like your significant other that might not keep themselves up as much as they used to and maybe put on 15-20 pounds after you first met. But they’re always there for you and you’re still happy to come home to them. Do you really want to throw it all away for a weekend of fun?
