I get it! I have some experience with poor signal strength and the resulting impacts in battery life. I live in the country and the poor signal drains incredibly quick. Not sure if the locker is interfering. I can’t recall how your Xr drained in the locker? If it did not drain that much, maybe it truly is a phone issue versus signal.

I’m glad to hear it’s been a little better lately, I know it’s frustrating.

No the signal isn't an issue. I know being in a locker you'd think it would suffer, but nope. I'm on Vodafone which supplies all our work phones here too as the signal is that good in this area.

To be honest, I'm really happy with that battery today, so knocking AoD off tomorrow until I finish will hopefully get me even better results. :)

So today with AoD off, my battery was 80% when I finished. Still not great but much better than what I was getting.

I'm happy with that though.

I'd still try airplane mode if I were you. If you grab it while on break or whatever your notifs will come in almost instantly when you turn off airplane mode. I still think it gets a worse signal than you'd think.

Ok I'll give it a go tomorrow. I don't like the idea of shutting the phone off to all notifications though. What happens with potential missed calls? Are you notified of them seeing as it won't even call for it to be missed?

I'm not sure about the missed calls but from what I read online just now it is up to your carrier how they handle it. Some will show the missed call and others will just show the voicemail, if one was left. My view is that they will leave a voicemail if it was important enough.

A bit off topic but pertaining to the well being, at least on my 2 XL battery life seems a bit better, scrolling a smidge bit smoother. Could be placebo. My 3 XL I don't use enough to know for sure yet.

Since I turned Digital Well-being off I've noticed a difference in performance. No where near the lag I was getting when I first got the phone.

Seems there's a lot of articles online recently about it affecting performance too.

The camera on the Pixel is really so impressive for everyday shots. I don't think I've taken a bad photo with it yet - and that's definitely not due to my photography 'skills'. :p

You're being modest, I always enjoy your pics.

Glad to hear of the reduction in lag. My 3a has been quite smooth and I disabled it as well.

Do you still have a 3XL as well? How do the two compare? It's getting late now for picking up a Pixel but the 4 is still a way off!

Back on the fabric case and I really can't take to it. Even with both hands wrapped around the phone and with it resting in my lap, I'm still finding my fingers slipping with it.

I love the look of it though. For those who have used it long term, does it get less slippy? I feel like with some hand sweat and grime (gross, lol) it will become a little less like a bar of soap?

Are they the same as the Pixel 2 fabric cases? I didn't find those too bad. Not as grippy as I expected. I don't think they improved (or worsened) over time. Could only ever have black again, the other 3 discolured fairly quickly.

I think they are, yeah. But not sure as I never had one with my Pixel 2.

I've got the black one and I love the look, such a cool case. But my God it is slippy!

I have had the black, gray and the indigo. I may be crazy, but I swear the black was more slippy than the rest. I returned for the gray and felt the gray had more grip.

The Google fabric case is super cool design and looks great, I had the black on my Pixel 2 XL, but... absolutely useless because it makes the phone slippery like wet soap. Plus it's a bit too bulky thick for my tastes, but mostly making the phone too slick to hold.

Now I've been using the thin X-Level case, it sticks to your hand like Spiderman holding it

Cool thing. My downloads show a notification each time I download something and I always swipe them away. This time, the notification shade called out that I kept doing that and said "would you like to block this notification?".

Yes, yes I would. :D

Great feature.

Here is my battery so far for pixel 3 XL...
Quite same with my previous XR...
I dunno if this is a bad thing...
So far im happy with it...

I prefer it caseless with tempered glass....
Might order some skin to make it slimmer look....
