Same here as well. I tried it and I also had to uninstall and reinstall the App. I put the Widget on my screen and thought OK but I probably won't use it. Again, that's me and others might find it highly useful. For those in the latter, enjoy!
Yup yup...I try to not watch my battery on devices now ...lol and my earbuds ding at 15%

I like seeing where my Pixel Buds are at.
Sometimes when they connect, a notification pops up with info of battery for case / L / R. But it's inconsistent and doesn't stay in notifications.

Having this means I now don't have to let them die before I know to charge them. ???

Gaming appears to be much improved. I haven't gamed on the P6P in a couple months. Been using my 13PM and S22U but been playing some COD Mobile today and so far not a single issue with throttling or dropped frames.

Has anyone else noticed increased haptics with this update?
I now get a little buzz from the haptics when swiping up to open the app drawer.

If you swipe up and to the right on the home screen to view your 'open apps' and then slide through them quickly left to right and right to left, you'll get the same haptic feel Apple gives in its clock app (damn fine).

And I'm also feeling a little haptic buzz when I swipe up on an open app to close it.

I approve. MORE HAPTICS EVERYWHERE.

I have and it's great!

Gotta say the phone is definitely running snappy ...and yes FPS is even better for me ..seems quicker and less time on press ...only thing I noticed was the battery yesterday drained some compared to the Ultra I put it to charge around 16% before sleep ..

Yea it is definitely a smooth running device. I've never had much of a problem with the FPS but I can tell it is a bit quicker. Not as good as the one on the Ultra but its more than acceptable. I love the notification tray and quick settings toggles on the Pixel vs OneUI as well. Battery life still seems to be a bit less than both the Ultra and of course the 13PM though. Trying to keep myself from popping the sim back in the S22U for a few days but it's so dang hard not to. ?

I know right! I do enjoy both phones but like the customization of OneUI better .... I don't understand why Google doesn't let you customize a little bit more. I mean simple stuff like my fonts... Have you found any way of adding another font on this phone? Also if I put in my pin code why do I have to hit the arrow to unlock...simple stuff that most don't care about but when you switch phones you notice ...face recognition should've been included just bc why not have the option and not use the FPS when you want ...

I don't really do a whole lot of customization anymore so I'm not sure on how to change fonts. I actually really like the font on the Pixel phones. The pin though.... Man that annoys me. I love how Samsung gives you the option to not hit ok once you enter your pin.

Battery is doing much better today. Just left the office with 74% battery and a hair over 2 hours SOT. Very surprising and hope that continues

Oh nice not too shabby .. I'm at 58% but I have not been outside for too long except for the coffee run in the morning and pick up some groceries this evening... I took it off the charger at 7:00 a.m....

Back on pixel 6 pro y'all.

Well actually I'm dualing both the iphone 13 pro Max and pixel 6 pro.

I couldn't stay away
Welcome back.

It really is a great device. Actually now that I'm back on it I'm finding that it is the best all around device for my needs. I just wish either the Pixel 6 Pro had an S-Pen or the S22 Ultra had the call screening and built in voicemail with transcriptions that the Pixel has along with all the other helpful features the Pixel's AI offers.

I'm afraid to say that since getting my iPhone 13 Pro Max a couple of months back now, I hadn't really touched my P6 Pro, so I sold it today. I think it's more a combination of not having used iOS for several years, so it feels fresh, and the fact it's just a pleasure to use the iPhones flat screen. In hindsight, I should have probably got with the regular 6 because I knew I disliked curved screens, but I wanted that 120hz goodness! Having said that, I still have my old Pixel 4XL as a reliable backup, if needed.

Still a big Pixel fan, so will keep an eye out on any future iterations but for the time being the iPhone and it's beastly battery suits my needs perfectly!

It's been a few days since I've gotten my Pixel 6 - I'm a huge fan of EVERYTHING other than the fingerprint scanner. The unreliability of this is appalling. Just today, I had a moment where it didn't unlock the first try but it did the second time. I only moved my thumb up and back down, I didn't readjust the positioning at all. This isn't the first time I've had that happen. Yes, I've deleted and re-enrolled my fingerprints. No, I don't have a tempered glass screen protector on it.

I'm sad that this is so terrible. I really enjoy what the Pixel brings to the table for Android.

So many people complaining about the fingerprint scanner. I've owned this phone since launch, and deleted the fps on the second day, haven't used it since 6 months ago.

My Pixel 6 Pro is amazing. Zero complaints, except just wishing it had a flat screen like the iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Well I'm completely the opposite. I've been using the FPS since day one without any issues lol.. Phone is running smooth and I'm okay with the curves. Don't bother me either way...

I really enjoyed the Pixel 6 Pro at first but just became tired of all the compromises. I’m glad not everyone had them but I was dealing with horrible reception, subpar battery, a finicky FP sensor, and the final straw for me was the delayed monthly updates.

Since moving to the 13 PM I don’t have any of these problems. Sure, the OS is dull as hell and the notification system sucks, but everything works smoothly and how it’s supposed to all the time. But the biggest difference from my Pixel 6 Pro is how much better the reception and data is. Holy ****, I would constantly switch between LTE and 5G on the p6 to the point where I couldn’t use data. Hasn’t happened once since switching.

I’m hoping Google stays on this path with the Pixel lineup but they really have to improve their QC. Pixel users used to be ok with beta software when Pixels were for niche tech enthusiasts. But if they want to take them mainstream, which they clearly do, then this crap has to stop. Apple and Samsung are too good for this to be a thing and still compete.

I have not much to praise on Pixel line up.
P6P still going well with Android 12 latest beta.

2 great things being on Pixel from loyal Fruit custome is
- huge cost saving (lesser Apple products and accessories) - amount I spent on phone related is negligible after P6P.
- heavy customisation capability without root (attached the sample of minimal wallpaper setup with Niagra launcher, KLWP, and KWGT)

I keep hearing rumors about this face recognition being added. I'm pretty sure it's probably for next year's model, but maybe there's still hope... There were rumors that they were going to include it with this series and they just didn't have it together in time for release...

I'm betting it's for the 7/7 Pro.
I wish Google hadn't dropped Soli. Best face unlock of any device out there. Honestly if the battery life wasnt so bad I'd probably still have a 4XL.

I know i've said it before that I have no plans to buy this years Pixel phone but i've said that the past couple of years and I now own three Pixels. I'm starting to feel like GrumpyMom's brother. :p

That said, nothing in the Pixel 7 rumors excites me. I have never owned an iPhone and recently i've had the urge to put my Apple Card to use and buy an 13PM because of that sick emerald green color but I may hold off to see what gets introduced with the 14PM. I will probably skip the Pixel this year and possibly add an iPhone.

I was bummed to see Soli scrapped ...I was so upset I sold my Pixel 4 XL the week I found out they weren't going to keep it ...told myself the hell with Pixels ..ha
