Most definitely in the right place lol... What was your main reason for picking up the Pixel? 5. Form factor?

Any interest in 6a? Goes on sale shortly.

Based on the reviews, I would wait for the Pixel 7/7P. The reviews by Ryne Hager from AP and Marques from YT, both have given it a tepid response. Marques basically said if you want a mid range phone and must have Google features plus an excellent camera (still using the same Sony camera from the Pixel 2 all the way up to the 6 and 6 Pro) then buy it. If those things are not important to you, then you can do better such as the Galaxy A53 for $100 less and that has a 120Hz display and a much better FPS.

The FPS according to Marques is still slow and hit and miss. The display is not all that great with some off putting greying issues when the brightness is set to low. Ryne Hager confirmed the same.

Was interested in the "smaller" size, main reason my 6 has been sidelined for the past few months is because I got tired of carrying around that big of a phone (Razr5g, S22, and iphone mini have been in the main rotation all year long).

But the MKBHD review really kinda sealed the deal and will wait for the pixel 7. It's supposed to be a little smaller than the 6, so

For $150 more, the standard Pixel 6 seems like a noticeably better phone—90hz refresh, newer generation of camera sensors, wireless charging.

I own a Pixel 6 and it really is a big and heavy phone. Put a P6 in your back pocket and your pants will start to drop.
Yeah, i really don't get why Google decided to ditch the small/xl combo they've done in the past with regular/pro models we got last year with them being nearly identical in size.

The pixel 6a reviews are out, marques brownlee says that the display feels slow even for a 60 hz display, that it has very bad rainbowing and that the fingerprint sensor feels slow and fails to recognize his fingerprint, the verge echoes the fingerprint sensor issues, androidpolice says "My review unit has a pretty strong gradient visible in dark gray colors at low brightness" oh google. Input magazine it's the only review that says that the fingerprint sensor works better than on the pixel 6

All I want for the pixel 7 (since the symmetrical bezels are not happening) is a new ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, a new panel without muddy grays and good viewing angles and some tweaks to the camera software, it feels like google just applied the same settings it had been using up to the pixel 5 to the pixel 6, pictures look a little overprocessed, they didn't take advantage of the newer sensor.

Fair enough but as an owner of a 13 Pro Max, every phone feels lighter and smaller than mine. ;)

I’d personally put up with the extra 30 grams for the extra features and better performance.

I have not been using my Pixel 6. I rotate between the S22 ultra, and 13 pro. Been using the Ultra for a staight week now. I was going to sell my Pixel, but now I’m going to save it for my nieces son, who will get it for Christmas.
What I don’t like about the Pixel is speaker not loud enough, and screen hard to see in bright sunlight.

Still think my S21 FE beats the 6/6a and alot more mid range phones but gets no shine since it's just not popular like that.

I want to try a pixel though one day.

That has 21 FE is excellent.. I convinced my friend to move over to it with a special deal on a trade-in. He originally was using an S7 and he loves it. The phone does everything. The screen looks beautiful. They did a really good job with it...

Let me tell you my 6P feels light to me and I carry it around like it's a small phone lol.. especially with a thin case. I'm usually double phone in one hand with it without issues. It's funny how we all have gotten used to larger phones

If I could change one thing with this phone, it's definitely the brightness outside on sunny days. It just disappoints me otherwise. I've been using it actually for a while now and I have the S22U ready for a SIM switch probably next week..

I bought the Pixel 6 Pro first and then shortly after the smaller flat screen pixel 6 last year.

And I like the smaller form factor and flat screen of the Pixel 6. But there's no question. The 6 Pro is just a more premium feeling smoother operating phone. Even though I'm not a fan of the curved edge screen, the phone is just watery smooth.

I'm just confused, maybe a little concerned The Pixel 7 Pro barely sounds like an upgrade. Same screen, same memory, same battery. Slightly barely revised CPU.

And the Pixel 5 was a mid range phone, even compared to the Pixel 4, which actually was a great phone, just had crap battery life.

So maybe the Pixel 7 Pro is the true successor, big time upgrade from the Pixel 4 XL? The last great flagship Pixel. Because the Pixel 5 was not sn upgrade, and the Pixel 6 Pro, yes was, but it was the first gen of a new way of doing Pixel, always better to wait for the refined second version.

Not any rumours really about it

Just that it will have QHD and improved brightness

Camera with another year of optimising the chip should make it even better. Maybe we see more zoom for the pro

I’m getting impatient and want to enroll in a13 beta 4. I hear most bugs associated with a12 are almost nonexistent and the ui experience is super smooth. Heat management is greatly improved. Battery being more or less the same as a12 june stable. A13 public release should be here by next month but almost want to enroll now for benefits. I would stay on beta until public release then just get a OTA update like everyone else.

Is anyone on a13 beta that can chime in?

I'm running 13 beta 4 on my Pixel 6 Pro. I did a full system wipe / factory reset beforehand and installed it fresh.

Runs very smooth.

I didn't want to go with a fresh install and I was going to try the 13 beta but somehow when I downloaded it I got some kind of failure message and I decided it wasn't meant to be..lol
