I’ve lived in Portland OR for a couple of years and I remember during the summer months when there was little rain, the temps by 12-3pm would get to 105 F. It was hot hot but bearable as long as you drank plenty of water. Portland, OR gets lots of rain but has rather low humidity.

Most of my life I have lived in the lower part of Florida. When the temps get to 90, it can feel 102F in the sun because we have high humidity, like almost 100% humidity. Yesterday was one of those days and I happened to be working 2 straight hrs in that heat for my customer. In Florida you have to drink 3-4 times the water you normally do just to keep from overheating, which happened to me. After the 2 hrs I worked up a 5 alarm headache.
Right! It might be 115 here but it is a dry heat so to speak. We don't have the humidity you guys in south Florida have!
I hear its like breathing water in the air! lol

No way! This is what happened to my 6 Pro! Literally out of the blue, no drops of the phone or anything like that.

Weird! Don't get why some users are saying Google's customer support isnt good though? Unless it's a UK / US thing? I went straight to the chat / support option on device, told them the issue, they arranged packaging for me to drop off. Soon as I sent it, the phone was back repaired in less than 5 days.

Couldn't resist and bought a mint condition Verizon mmwave unlocked Pixel 6 on Swappa for $465. My in-laws may come in from out of country and my excuse to buy a Pixel was the live translate feature, haha. Anyway, just using it strictly for work and media streaming on wifi only.

One thing that really annoys me is that I can't remove the date from the top left of the home screen with the stock launcher. Who at Google thought of this idiotic "feature" ? Other than that, fun to be using a Pixel again!

Surprised we haven’t seen many rumours on pixel 7/7 pro. We know what it looks like but still not as many leaks as last year

Honestly the Pixel 7 line is a side grade at best to the Pixel 6 line.

Same sizes. Same displays. Same shapes just the back is a bit different. Same Memory / RAM. Same size batteries. The Tensor 2 is said to be a minor update from the Tensor 1.

Same battery? Hmm, been reading P6 battery isn't that great or is that wrong?

Pixel 6 battery is good, not great, but not bad, it's pretty decent actually.

Pixel 6 Pro battery is mediocre to good.

Neither phone is anywhere near iPhone 13 Pro Max battery life, not even close.

As long as it easily lasts a day with moderate use its fine imo. Im not intrested in a iPhone but they don't do as much to use more battery like, AoD. I know you know what i mean.

Totally understand. I really like my Pixel 6 Pro, great phone.

Only gripes I have is mediocre to ok battery life, and network connection issues here and there.

But overall, I totally dig this phone.

Don’t say that :( I’m hoping for a higher quality display on the pixel 6 , it’s rumored to have a 6.3” this time so maybe google will use a new panel? Also I’d love to see symmetrical bezels making a comeback, they are capable of doing it, they did it already with the pixel 5

The Pixel 7 have been leaked and there's videos of them in the wild. Design wise they're pretty much similar to the Pixel 6 line, except the back of the phones have a refreshed style. But the overall shape and size is exactly the same as last years phones.

I'm a HUGE Nexus / Pixel guy, but gotta say this years Pixel 7 line is more like a Pixel 6.25, just a minor refresh at most, not much different.

Love my 4a so im on the Pixel train going forward. I do like Samsung extra features but i do love the screen call on the Pixels and im just not into flagships anymore. Dont want the expense.

Only thing id like to have again is wireless charging though it isnt a deal breaker but we have a couple wireless charger stands at home is all.
I did have a Nexus 5, but i didnt like that phone. Pixels are much better.

The Pixel 4a aka the Pixel mini is one of my favorite Pixel phones and I currently own three of them.

Just did some research after I read your message… no symmetrical bezels making a comeback :( , still no confirmation on the panel used on the pixel 6, let’s hope it’s a new one

I like the size of the 4a. It has a bigger screen than my GS9 had but the overall phone size is a bit smaller.
I don't care for these phones going 6.5 and bigger and why I'll always go for the P6 or P7 instead of the Pro versions. Trying to stay around 6" and up to but not above 6.5". Below that is better for me.

I did hear more recently, that the displays in the Pixel 7 line, will be updated versions of what's on the Pixel 6 line, so higher brightness, maybe lower refresh rate on the Pro, so instead of 10hz - 120hz, will now be 1hz - 120hz. From what I've read they will be slightly updated newer display tech, but nothing earth shattering amazing, just the annual bump in newer tech.

Lately, going from new phone, to new phone every year is just silly, and a waste of money. Because I believe smartphones have plateaued, they've gotten really good the last couple of years.

iPhone 13 Pro to 14 Pro? Nah the difference is so minimal, minus the new notch changes,
Pixel 6 to Pixel 7? Very little difference

Phone upgrades today are only noticeable coming from a phone that's 2 or 3 years old, not 1 year.

My current phone is the IPhone 11 Pro Max and have been seriously considering giving android a serious try. Looking at both Samsung as well as google pixel(stock android immediately sounds more up my alley but who knows). Anyone coming from iPhone or that have used both Samsung and Google phones have a preference on the newest lineup of devices?

One area pixel 7 pro seems improved is it will likely have QHD option and improved brightness. Peak it could go to 1,200 I believe which is a good step forward

I’m glad that screen calling feature is available in UK so sounds like an ideal work phone

This time I plan to keep the pixel

If you want a similar good software experience I think pixel is the closest to iOS
