I have gotten used to the pink tint but what about the "dirty grays" they are everywhere since android 12 uses dark grey backgrounds instead of black :/
That’s not a hardware issue. That’s the colors Google chose for their UI and Launcher. Download a black wallpaper background and you’ll see a deep black display while the Search Bar has a dirty grey as you call it. You might want to try a different Launcher such as Nova Launcher and see if they allow for deep blacks throughout the UI.

My uneducated guess is that Google decided to go with a dirty grey instead of a deep black in the UI to blend in more with the color designs of Material You. I have used Nova Launcher in the past and I bought the upgrade. They do allow for color selections in the UI but i’m not sure about the Search Bar.

Will Android 13 ever theme third party app icons? Would love to see the Material You themes work on apps like Twitter, Reddit, Telegram, etc...

I know I can use a launcher and theme away to whatever I like, but for some reason I kinda like the stock launcher on a Pixel.

I've sent my Pixel 6 Pro for repair yesterday. (The dead pixels issue) I've had the packaging to send it back in for a few weeks from Google, but to get it back to them has been a bit annoying. I could only use a DHL drop off point and whilst the closest were only 5-6 miles away, they were all in shops that close at 5 and I work until 5!!

So I took it yesterday and sent it off. No idea how long it'll take to come back, but when it does come back I think I'll likely sell it and keep the money to one side for the 7. I'm happy with my Xperia 1 iv until the 7 comes along! :D

No no, I think you are not getting what I mean, I know that a lot of backgrounds are grey instead of black, which I actually prefer, I think dark backgrounds look too retro futuristic, the issue I notice on the grey tones is that they are full of "noise" and thin vertical lines, I took a picture of the screen my iphone 12 so that you can see better what I mean, in real life it looks more subtle but it is definitely there.

I am pretty sure that they went with a gray background because of contrast reasons, white text on an black backgrounds puts a bit of strain on the eyes. I am talking about something else, please see the picture I just attached

I did a bit of research, a more accurate way to describe the problem would have been to describe the display as grainy (when displaying gray tones), the Asus ROG II Phone had a similar issue, the person described as the screen looking as carton, I think that sums it pretty well it's gray and it kinda has a texture, like carton.

While I've read about network connection issues with the Pixel 6 Pro I've never personally noticed a difference between it and my iPhone 13 PM.
I've had no issues at all.

If it's a hardware problem it should show up in the search bar and in other places of the UI. I downloaded a dark grey wallpaper and it had a texture to it like Apple's linen look in iOS 5. I used the grey wallpaper built into the phone and that grey wallpaper looks clear. The search bar was total dark grey with no imperfections. If it bothers you that much you might want to get a refund but that's definitely not a problem on my phone.

Got to agree as well. It's weird bc it's almost like I'm looking for it be an issue and it's never happens. Confirmation bias is real.

13pm and p6p both have been reliable and similar for me.

Watch me get the dreaded "!" today now that I've said something about it.

It is everywhere there is a grey background: the google search bar, on the settings screen of every app with dark mode, on the notification center.

Damn now you’ve got me thinking that I got a faulty screen, maybe I should try to get another one? I really enjoy using the phone, the screen is the thing that really bothers me

I have had a few Pixel 6’s and some are worse than others. But, I see it in all. I haven’t seen it on the 6 Pro’s though.

Anyone agree with this article? I will say my 6 Pro network connection is poor a lot of times. Was wondering if it's T-Mobile in the Chicago area? But maybe it's the phone hardware?

Sounds like it’s hit or miss on who has issues depending on the area. Personally, the Pixel 6 had the worst connectivity of any phone I’ve owned on the past 5 years. Same goes for my wife’s. It would constantly drop service in places my previous phones wouldn’t and it was ALWAYS switching between 5G and LTE in places it shouldn’t. Switched us both to iPhones and haven’t had an issue since.

Some people might not notice much of a difference but the fact remains, Google used an older inferior radio on the Pixel 6 and it has a weaker signal than the competition. There are plenty of articles with tests that back that up.

Oh boy here we go with the rumors lol... Let's just nail down the 7 and 7Pro Google ... We all know there are never any secrets with Google lol

Talking about connectivity I have to say I'm on Verizon in Staten Island near my house. The connectivity with all my phones has not been that great... I don't know what happened. I remember it being so much better years ago and now I feel like all my phones have more dead zones, especially if I'm walking outside around the house... I don't find the pixel any different than all my others...

Glad to see the 6 Lifestyle is still going strong. Still enjoying mine quite a bit, though new job is a bit anti-android for work phones.

Swapped over to it being my personal device which has been working good. Nothing else too crazy going on. Be curious to see what the next model brings to the table. I honestly don't know if I will upgrade, unless Google provides a good incentive / trade-in for my totally solid 6.

Incentive and trade ins value are not a Google trait ... Unfortunately..
