Thanks, I do take German on it good and bad, but as you say it’s only a portion of all users, and people are more likely to complain than praise sometimes.

I can’t wait for the 7 as it’s for a present next month. I was waiting for the 6a to see, but with the discount I can get the 6 is only around £100 more, and I feel the 6 has features that are worth that.

Samsung also doing some good deals at moment, but just had heard the Pixel series were good 1st party phones.

Thanks
For the money, you can't beat the Pixel 6, warts and all. It's an 8.5/10 phone without factoring price/value which when you do it then becomes a 9/10 handset. The 6a is a 6.1" screen so it's a little smaller, if you prefer a smaller screen but the P6 is just tough to beat unless you can hold off for the Pixel 7. The only two advantages the 6a has over the P6 is that it's $50 cheaper than the P6 and should have a better FPS.

Nice to hear thanks! I can’t wait for the 7 as it’s for a present, as you say would prefer larger screen so 6a out. The 6 with my discount is £479 (6a £399).

Reading the specs of the Pixel 6a, it seems a lot better than the 4a that I have.
The only thing the 6 has over the 6a that is intriguing to me is wireless charge. Size don't matter to me and 6.1" for the 6a screen is fine as it will be alot bigger than my 4a.

A few posts up it said the 6a was $50 cheaper but I'm not seeing that as the 6 looks to be $150 more.

Just picked up my wife's P6P, and she's thrilled with it. Just wanted to thank all of you who've contributed here, as I followed with interest the trials and tribulations you endured while Google worked to get it right (or as right as it is currently for some). I'll be sure to post any issues she comes up with, if any. For now, I'm still on my 3aXL, but I'm shopping...

Was messing with my GF's pixel 6 at a rodeo this weekend.

Action pan is amazing.

I see we have a Pixel 5a thread, just wondering why there is no 6a thread yet since it has a release date.
It's probably because it's a rehash from last years phones including A12. The 6a will have a similar type display tech to the Pixel 6 including a 90Hz refresh rate but a better FPS vs the P6 if the reports are true. Honestly most are hyped for the P7 and P7P lineup along with A13 and the next Tensor SoC. Feel free to start a P6a thread if you're planning to get one.

Yes I'd be fine with the Pixel 6 but the 6a is cheaper with really only not getting wireless charging. Don't think the 6a is 90hz refresh either.
Im looking at price, don't care for latest and greatest. Done buying flagships.

Just had my brother round for a visit, spent 10 minutes on his Pixel 6 and I have to say, was very impressed. The last Android phone I had was a Nexus 5X, 2016? It was a decent phone but in that 10 mins it was nearly enough to make me consider one. If only I was not so dependent on Apple Watch..

Having played with my wife's new P6P I can see why. In spite of the fact that I want a smaller phone, I'm seriously considering biting the bullet and getting one myself.

I’ve made the decision to go pixel 7 pro and getting rid of my s22 ultra. Performance and overall lag has been too much on my exynos version. I also miss that pixel camera experience certainly for skin tones

I considered waiting until the P7P, but I’m afraid a lack of supply at launch might push me to early next year, and my 3aXL is engaged in a slow death.

Nothing wrong with the pixel 6, some just need the latest thing and since it has already been announced, there ya go.
So the Pixel 6 will drop in price and for Father's day it's $100 off for the Pixel 6 pro.

Any idea what this black dot is in the corner of my 6 Pro screen?
Originally I thought it was part of a webpage I was scrolling on.
But it isn't budging? The phone hasn't been dropped or anything but looks like it could be dead pixels?

Also ignore the fuzzy white of the rest of the screen. I Googled "white background" so I could just have the whole screen white to photograph the mark more clearly and it's a horrible blown up jpeg haha.

What would I do if it is dead pixels? Screen repair or just get over it? Will affect the resale when I come to sell it is all I'm thinking.

That's exactly what I would do. It too far out of the way. If it gets worse in the next couple of months then ask for an exchange but I would just move on.

Yeah I've had a Google repair before and it took weeks. I don't know when it even appeared but could have been there weeks without me noticing 😜.
Its more the resale I'm bothered about 🙄 not that these phones hold their value too well anyway.

I am in the middle of a warranty replacement for my regular Pixel 6. They wouldn’t send the replacement before receiving mine. I offered for them to place the full amount of hold on my cc, but they wouldn’t budge.

Really made me appreciate Apple! My replacement finally arrives on Tuesday. Took about two weeks as well.
