Picture of our great dog Lady, that we had to put down last night :( Best family friendly dog ever, such a sweetheart, and breaks my heart losing her.
Oh I’m so sorry! I somehow missed this post until @jamezr replied to it. She was a beautiful dog. That photo definitely captures her kindness well.

I know how much losing them hurts. It doesn’t matter how long they’re here for, it’s never long enough. My heart is with you and your family. I’m sorry for inadvertently overlooking your post and very sorry for your loss.

My buddy just got a pixel 6 and I don't remember the volume rocker being as flush as his is. Am I imagining them being more pronounced? Can anyone with a pixel 6 take a pic of their power/ volume rockers?

Let it be known I took a picture with my iPad for you. I risked all the cool points I had left…

Is getting the 6 still a good buy at this time? Waited for the 6a to see but can get a discount on the 6 so only around £100 more than a 6, and 6 has better camera and bigger screen.

This is for a birthday present next month, so waiting for the 7 isn’t an option.

Thank you, and too all for there condolcoences on my doggy Lady passing :( It; been rough and very sad, but have to think of the good time, the waggy tail days.

Finally settled on the bottom portion. Even cleaner. The music player leads to the Apple Music app, and the upper portion of the home screen have invisible hot spots that lead to my most-used apps.

Thinking the Pixel 7 Pro, Pixel Buds Pro, and Pixel Watch may be my only device purchases the rest of this year.
I’m probably skipping doing anything with buying Pixels this year because I hadn’t gotten any quality time to play with the stuff I already got. I’ve had my Pixel 6 Pro for months now but it still feels like I just got it.

9to5Google confirms that the Pixel Watch will use the same processor that was used in the 2018 Galaxy Watch.

And this is why I can’t take Google serious anymore. Just like with their phones they continue to cut corners and expect software to be enough. It’s ridiculous. I’m sure they’ll price their Watch like it’s a premium one similar to the Apple and Galaxy Watches while it will have inferior components like they’ve done with their phone for 5 years.

My concern is, what’s changed since the last iterations of Wear OS from Google? At its best past moments, hardware was all over the spectrum in regards to quality, the OS experience was mediocre, and developer support was next to non-existent. What’s different now that’s going to make the Google Watch experience worth using? I don’t see anything compelling at all.

Knowing how inconsistent Google has been in regards to their Nexus/Pixel phones lineups, I honestly wouldn‘t expect to see even a decently comparable user experience for a few iterations of the Pixel Watch and considering Google’s track record, future versions may not even happen.

The new Samsung watches are just starting to get fast enough to almost compare to apple watches and google goes ahead and throws in a 4 year old chip for their long awaited watch. I really think they treat some of these things as little projects for the interns.

I’ll truly be shocked if they throw a 4 year old professor in this thing. That’ll even top the 3XL notch as a major head scratcher for me.

Agreed. And if they had big things planned or they were happy with the state of Watch OS, they would have showed it off at the IO event last week.

Going off the products they announced and some interviews I read, it’s almost like they know they need an ecosystem to compete with Apple and Samsung so they are just checking boxes. I expect a similar level of effort from their tablet.

IMO, Google won’t start delivering a top tier experience until they stop patting themselves on the back for their software a realize it can’t that software can’t save bad hardware.

Oh wow. And if it doesn’t do well my fear is that they’ll just dismiss the entire concept/product and move on. They just won’t address the problems, which they cause by making frustratingly boneheaded decisions like this. I get that they’re into software and data mining, but the thing is they could create a compelling ecosystem to facilitate their primary business. And they just don’t. And even their software suffers from abandonment issues, in a manner of speaking.

The one way I could understand this decision is that it’s their only option due to the infamous supply chain constraints and they’ve really figured out a way to optimize the hell out of older components.
