I really hope Google ups their game in the display department.

The recent iPhone Pro's and Samsung Galaxy phones have great screens, very bright with deep blacks and colorful.

But Pixel phones have always had mediocre displays compared.

Still might try it with with no case and see how it feels grip-wise but I have this on order in case I need to go that route. Just wanted something cheap and functional that looks decent so this seems good enough. Solid camera protection too.

All this assuming I’m able to pre-order a 6 Pro and have in a decent time-frame.

For some reason the pic won’t attach. Included a link instead.

I'm waiting for the price of the 6 Pro as well as trade in prices to see if I should trade in my barely used 4a 5G.

UK prices on Amazon for the Pro.

Released on a Monday? Doubt it, looks like a guess when all signs point to the 28th. And "stromy" black?

They have interesting cases. But that brand name is a tongue twister!

I sold mine for $449 with a case back in August.. I'd be surprised if they offer half that on trade in.. We shall see
Samsung was willing to offer me about $350 or some ridiculous amount in trade for my Pixel 3XL, which usually would be lucky to see $35. But that was for the Z Flip 3. I still would have had to spend a lot of money to get the Z Flip. But trade in values like that are how Samsung keeps their hooks in me.

I feel like it’s not going to be advantageous to me at all in any way to get the Pixel 6 Pro. Im not confident they’ll offer a good trade in price for my mini. I’m not sure 6 Pro will hold its value. It’s a big walk into the unknown. My husband refuses to go along. He’s got zero interest in it. He thinks I’m bonkers.

I’m just insatiably curious. I’ve been away from Pixels a long time now. They’re finally doing something new and interesting so I have to see what’s going on.

And this is a good time also because I’m happy with my Samsung. I’m not tempted to upgrade it. It’s probably safe until Z Flip 4.

Hopefully we have some good news on Tuesday... And hopefully this device doesn't disappoint.. We have some excitement going around I think even more since the P5 was a mid range upgrade

The conversion for the 128GB 6 Pro comes out to $1165. That’s more than I want to pay. I can buy an iPhone 13 PM for around $1099 with $160 trade in for my Pixel 4a and the iPhone 13 PM will have a higher trade in value with Apple. That’s how Apple keeps turning over recurring sales.

Dang. If the base 6 Pro is over $1100+, I’ll pass. I’m a big Nexus / Pixel fan but not at that price.

I’m hoping the 128GB Pixel 6 Pro starts no higher than $999.

But I have my eyes set on the flat screen regular Pixel 6. Seems like that might be $850.

That's what the conversion tool came up with. It could be lower based on currency exchange rates but it looks like it could be in the iP 13PM price range. That's not all bad except when it comes to trade in value. As an example my Pixel 4a is worth $125 currently with Google. It's worth $160 with Apple and Apple picks up the tax because they base the tax you pay on what your trade in is. I don't know if Google does it the same way. But the key is what the phone will be worth 1/2/3 yrs out and Apple will give you more for your trade towards a new iPhone.

I just hate that stupid notch and it doesn't have Google Call Screener. That's what keeps me from buying my first iPhone. Oh I just read on MR that the Macbook Pros may get a notch...snicker 🤣🤣🤣

The Notchbook Pros

Why the heck would they put a notch on a laptop?

I agree the notch on the iPhone is hideous, and you must run dark theme and have all apps in dark mode to avoid seeing that nasty notch.

Plus the gesture UI on Android is just so much better and nicer to operate a smartphone.

Yeah the iPhone Pro's are very well built and sure do look nice and apps set to AMOLED black mode look great. But the Pixel experience is just miles better than iOS.

Keep in mind the UK price includes their VAT (Value Added Tax) adding 20% to the price, plus import duties are typically higher in Europe too.

There's a photo making it's rounds on Twitter that's been retweeted by some reliable leakers showing the Pixel pricing in the US. Take this with a big grain of salt because the price seems way too low. But there's a photo of Target shelves being prepped and they show...

Pixel 6 - starting at $599
Pixel 6 Pro - starting at $899

Make of that what you will.

Those prices would be great to take away some of the attention from the iPhone and generate some sales for Google. I had mentioned in another thread I was thinking between $849-899 for the P6 Pro. I can’t see those prices especially with all the supply shortages going on right now.
