Twitter has been GARBAGE on my Pixel 3 since the 12 upgrade. I doubt the issues you are having are anything to do with the 6.

It takes me 2 - 3 times to post a tweet, and anything with an image, forget it!
I just use Twitter on the web. Social media apps are nasty battery hogs in my experience.

Perfect phone for my GF, but I am sticking with s21 ultra.

I've just cancelled my pre-order for the Pro. Also sticking with my S21 Ultra for my android device. Too many reviews where the Pro fell below (my) expectations from what I saw and read. I know I could have got the phone and tested with my own experience and returned it if I didnt like it but I don't like to do that (would rather the phone end up in someones hands that is likely to keep it).

If it improves with software later down the line then I'll look to pick one up, but not for me now.

Good luck to everyone waiting or having received one though - I hope you love the phone!

So my Pixel is in California. My husband’s is in Illinois. My Series 7 Apple Watch shipping via UPS must be stuck in that snafu that’s on the news because it’s been sitting in Shanghai for 2 days.
Shop app shows my Series 7 Apple Watch sitting in Osaka. So a little further than yours but not by much. Delivery date of Nov 1st though. Let’s see if that ends up be true.

Best Buy had a 12:00am CST restock (sold out within minutes) but I was able to get an order in for an unlocked 6 Pro in white! Pick up isn’t until Friday, November 5th but it’s better than Google’s January 20th date. Super stoked I was able to get the order in and only need to wait about a week!

Any reason please?
I slightly having second thought whether the Pixel or Samsung fair better in overall experience.
I decided to wait until this arrived, to decide if I was going to order myself a pro. TMobile has some amazing deals at the moment, so I was going to trade in my a71 5g spare phone making it only $450, which would be more than offset by selling my S21 ultra.

After messing around with the 6, I must say I absolutely love the software. It is extremely clean, and we'll laid out. Probably the only Android phone I wouldn't instantly throw Nova Launcher on.

Very snappy UI, and coherently laid out design. The voice dictation is also just as amazing as advertised. Truly world class experience.

However it doesn't feel quite as well put together hardware wise as my S21 ultra. It is a cool design, and all but the s21 feels like it is on another level. I am also a bit scared off by the tensor chip. I know that it is modified heavily, but after years of people complaining about Exenos chips, I am taking a wait and see approach. I really can't afford to have issues on my main phone.

Hate to say it but the cameras are also more than a step behind the s21. Strangely they seemed to have taken out that signature pixel look, of insane punchy contrast. Every picture I took had a bit of a palor to it. The white balance is also very wonky.

Luckily there is a very handy temperature slider in the camera app, but initial impressions weren't great. Even the 3aXL photos seemed more appealingly processed out of the box, however zooming in there is much, much more detail.

Totally serviceable in a vacuum, but not top tier IMO.

We shall see, I think they are closer than ever to the pantheon of best phone, if I could run pixel software, on Samsung hardware it would be the perfect phone. For now though, I think that the s21 ultra is the best all around Android phone you can buy, and it would be change for change sake.

I totally agree on Tensor performance and hit and miss of camera shots.
I am currently on iOS and Last time I used Android was with 1st Gen pixel.

I like how you mention S21 U being very appealing design-wise.
Is it possible to root Samsung and run with Pixel-like Rom?

My idea is to go for Samsung skin embedded with Pixel mind.

Both my packages are now are the DPD depot. I have now had to reschedule for Friday delivery so will endure an extra day of waiting! At least DPD have the 1 hour delivery slots which is convenient.

I’m going to dual with the 6 Pro and 13 Pro Max this year. I prefer the pure stock Android experience, no offence against Samsung but I’d never own one again. Pixel is the only Android phone I would consider actually switching permanently from iPhone again. Although I do like what Sony do too.

I am in deep with the Apple ecosystem as I suspect many are who have an iPhone. I loved the Pixel 4XL but feel Google missed the mark with the Pixel 5 making it mid-tier specs, despite a great camera I though the video quality was mediocre, screen tiny compared to 12 Pro Max etc.

The 6 Pro is finally the first Pixel flagship to truly compete with the iPhone. I’m excited to test out both against each other. Google raised expectations of the 6/6 Pro to a ridiculous level this year to make out it was to be real a flagship killer, clearly going head to head with the iPhone. However, in its own right, it really does appear to be a 9/10 Pixel which is amazing.

The fingerprint scanner still doesn't work with the glass screen protector even with the Day 1 updates that landed on the phone. Which is annoying. Google you got 13 days to sort this out or this Pixel is going back. I should have kept my Pixel 5.

The haptics man. The HAPTICS!!
How are they compared to the 12/13 series iPhones? I’m a sucker for precise haptics, that’s one of the things that have always made me go ahhhhhhh when I come back to iPhone. From OP6T to 12PM was night and day. But very interested to hear how they are on the P6 as I’m gravitating closer and closer to ordering one…

Setting mine up now. Couple of quick pics at a friend's livestock barn

Great photos as always. Honestly I kind of have trouble judging a camera based on your photos since you’re one of those people who always manage to take good ones haha. AND for some reason always seem to have a bunch of super photogenic animals around :D

But yeah there seems to be this pop to Pixel photos which the iPhone doesn’t manage. Like, they can be slightly more “unrealistic” for lack of a better word, but they do convey the life of the object very strongly.

Speaking of photos - and this goes for anyone who’s received their Pixel 6 - may I trouble you for a side by side photo of the P6 and a 12/13 Pro Max (which I think you own, right?) Say, with browser open to a thread in this forum? The one thing I always miss in online reviews are simple frontal comparison shots like that.

He liked the flat screen Pixel 6 better and said it’s $599 price was unbeatable.

But said the 6 Pro had 3.5h to 4.5h SoT and the regular 6 even worse. Said had to always be near a charger or battery pack for both phones.
Pixel 6 battery update:

Battery at start - 100%

1 hour screen on time later 93%!

This was mainly browsing Macrumors, catching up on current affairs and a 10 minute YouTube video.

I don't think you've anything to be concerned about.

They're great. I would say up there with the iPhone if only ever so slightly not as good. If iPhone is 10/10, these are a 9.
And anyway, until iPhones let you have haptics active on key presses they can keep them. Maybe in iOS 21. 🙄

@Aneres11
I am stressed chasing up with Vodafone for delivery today as I am away from home next few days.

You make me smile on expecting of haptics at iOS21. ROFL.
Thank you for that.

For those keeping with the Samsung S21 Ultra - I'm surprised you even went for the 6 or 6 Pro. Seems at best a parallel move (and likely a slight downgrade).
