Manufacturing and product back-orders and delays is a NIGHTMARE. My business, we supply materials to high end custom luxury home builders. Orders that always took approx. 4 weeks in the past now, take 4+ months !!! And pricing has shot up from vendors on materials. It's a HUGE problem, and said to not be getting better any time soon, but expected to get worse still. Even longer delays coming, and even higher costs.

I was toying with the idea of trading in my iPhone 12 Pro Max for a 13 Pro Max, but those 13PM's are like never in stock anywhere, and looking on T-Mobile's website or BestBuy they are always on back order. Is the 13 Pro Max just basically sold out and not available anywhere due to parts shortages?
I manage critical infrastructure in multiple datacenter across the country. I have been waiting 6+ months for capacitors for my UPS systems (Talking 1 Megawatt of capacitive power) due to shortages, shipping issues / etc.

Not fun times at all, so I don't fault Google for having issues making enough phones, but STILL will crab about FedEX for not properly shipping something currently in a state, going to a state, with zero weather delays, zero logistics issues. ;)

My phone is STILL just sitting in IL......

The Verge review is out.

Pixel 6 - 9
6 Pro - 8
What do those numbers mean? I don't do Verge ;) .

Mine has arrived but dunno think I may return it and get the s21 ultra again until the issues are sorted with android 12, battery life and the camera fixes
😦 Are you having a lot of problems with it? Battery life on my 13 Pro took close to 3 weeks to normalize. It was great. It was bad. It was great. It was okay. Now it’s settled into eh, not bad.

iOS was a dumpster fire but seems to be improving as well. My phone has stopped freezing up and acting weird. Well the camera app is still a bit uncharacteristically unpredictable. But it’s acceptable most of the time and phenomenal at times.

S21 Ultra…okay I love mine and I think it’s a viable choice for you. But take a deep breath and slow down. Don’t do anything impulsively. Give your phone a chance to settle down a bit. You’ve got some more days to get a feel for it.

I’ve stopped watching reviews. I don’t have enough time for one thing. Another, I think some reviewers are causing panic.

Lisa Gade’s review was the last one I saw. She was calm and overall honest and positive without fan girling. I honestly can’t take these other people anymore. Too much drama.

Everyone should just chill out and quit watching these clickbait YT review videos. Up to recently we had these reviews show up, everyone here was chomping at the bit to get their hands on Google's new flagships. We need to put things in perspective, in about 12-24 months time 80% of us will be buying Google's newest phone. So forget about the rumored battery and other quirks. Enjoy it and you know you'll be trading it in within 12 months.

Yeah, I'm done watching reviews. I don't need anyone else to tell me how much I like this phone.

I have no complaints with the battery, but it is difficult to find exactly how much SOT I'm getting since it was last charged. It now does it for the last 24 hours instead.

Hoping it will be 3 years+ for me. I don't turnover the Android side as fast as I do iOS (yet). The Pixel 3 has been a great phone, despite the reputation of being one of the worst pixel phones for battery, speed, etc. This better be a game-set-match to that device + more battery.

Battery on my Pixel 6 is nothing short of amazing so far.

I took it off the charger at 8am this morning at 100% and am currently at 65% with 4 hours screen on time.

How much more does anyone need!

Edit: I went to bed before midnight so that use is purely today since I got up.

@MarkX Thankfully I don't recall you being in my bed (check your post ;) ) But that battery life is totally fine in my book.

Many of us heavy hitters have some type of USB-C charging block at our disposal, or other ways to top off our phone if needed. Coming from a Pixel 3, I will be impressed.

Ugh…I really still don’t like curve-edge displays and every photo I see of the 6 Pro just reiterates that. I find the standard 6 front much more appealing. I could live with the lower resolution and only 90 Hz display but skipping the telephoto would be problematic as I use it all the time. And while I like the unique design of the back, I am just over the overly smooth, curvy design. The latter is probably due to having and really liking the design aesthetic of the iPhone 12/13 but regardless, it’s just not hitting me in the right spot.

Glad to see those who’ve received theirs already liking the experience. I really want the Pixel line to success at the high end as it’s absolutely my preferred style of Android phone so this year’s updates seem to have Google pointed in the right direction. Sadly, with Google, you never know when they could just pull the rug out from under you.

Lol, post fixed.

I think those that are concerned with battery life should stop fretting.

A reviewers use is not indicative of real world use by real people.

How do you get it to say screen time like that? When I click on battery usage, I only get this.

Or if I scroll further down to screen time, this. Which is definitely inaccurate because I've used my phone way more than 3.5 hours in the last 24 hours.

Are the sides of the Pixel 6 Pro stainless steel or polished aluminum? MKBHD said they were stainless steel but now I'm finding out they might actually be polished aluminum. People said the same thing about the S21 Ultra but it turns out it was polished aluminum the entire time.

It’s their rating of the phone based on a scale of 1-10.

A tear down the other day said it was all aluminum I believe.
