Thanks. I've turned Wellbeing off now. I'm not having battery issues but also not getting amazing battery life. My stats are definitely reporting accurately though.

First thing I do on Android phones is turn off digital wellbeing. It's an unnecessary battery drain IMO.
Pixel 4a here. How do you turn it off? I couldn't disable it or Force Quit the app. It doesn't allow that. I was able to turn off notifications but the App says it did not use any battery in the last 24 hrs. However, I was able to disable Device Health Services.

There's an area in the 3 dot menu on the digital wellbeing screen that says manage my data. In there, turn everything off.

I don't want background services monitoring my usage and draining battery just to tell me how much I've used my phone. No thanks.

Also, I think the battery life concerns are overblown. I'm at 75% and took it off the charger at 6 am. It's not going to be a iphone 13 Pro Max level battery, but it should be about equal to the S21 Ultra which never had a problem getting me through the day.

Just curious if people do a slow overnight charge? Or what I do and just put it on fast charge a for a short while a couple of times to top it up at night?

My 6Pro is stuck in transit hell, was supposed to arrive today, now states delayed coming 11/02, and it taking the slow way from California, now in Navajo Nation, AZ, en-route.

Interesting. I had a Oct 28 delivery date (today). FedEx says it left Bloomington, CA on Oct 25th, so I was feeling pretty hopeful.

However, it has been sitting in their Tuscon facility for two days! So, an on-time delivery is out of the question. But why hasn't it moved??

Grrrrrr.

Battery on my Pixel 6 is nothing short of amazing so far.

I took it off the charger at 8am this morning at 100% and am currently at 65% with 4 hours screen on time.

How much more does anyone need!

Edit: I went to bed before midnight so that use is purely today since I got up.

Not unless you took that screenshot and posted at 7:59 AM the next day...it reports a rolling screen-on time over the past 24 hours. Which means it is adding time from before you went to bed...

It's not adding from the previous day, it was showing 0 when I took it off the charger at 8am, I know this because I checked.

The time I have reported is purely today's use.

The only way it would show 0 at that point would be if you hadn't used it for 24 hours prior.

I've seen several people get confused about this. Like:

As Marques mentions in that thread, it includes time from the day before.

CORRECTION: I see that you're using a different part of the OS to view the report!

The only person that is confused is you. I'm well aware that if you check screen on time in the battery section of settings it shows 24 hour usage. However, if you use the screen on time feature in the digital wellbeing section of settings it breaks down your screen on time by day which I've posted.

Maybe familiarise yourself 1st before telling people they're confused

I got a notice I can pickup the seafoam 6 but I'm torn if I want to pick it up or not.
Why are you torn? Your going to wait for the pro instead? I’m really looking forward to getting my Pro. If I don’t think it’s worth the extra $300, I’ll return it for the regular one, hopefully in Coral.

I went to Best Buy in person and they never got a Pixel shipment. Mine pick up is Nov 4rd. LOL!!!!!!

Yeah, I have a Pro on order from Amazon that says I'll get it in about 2-3 weeks. I'd pick it up and test it out but I really hate returning things to BestBuy.

Love that dog pic...I usually slow charge overnight wireless ..I've installed GSAM battery monitor for future tracking I can't trust stock settings lol
Big fan of slow charging myself. I think it is a huge key to why most of my iOS devices, and Pixel 3 are still in really good condition. Heck, I only just replaced the battery in my iPhone 6 (known for being garbage) just last month.

I also rarely inductive charge as it is super wasteful and creates more heat which isn't ideal for saving batteries.

Longevity testing is something I enjoy doing :) .

I think the culprit of the battery drain may be the older 5G modem they used in the P6. Had to run some errands and I'm noticing significantly faster drain since being on 5g, even when idle. Some of that is expected, but it seems a little excessive.

Still, it's 4pm here, been off the charger since 6 or so and battery is at 65% with medium use.
