Got to see them in person today ..excited to get in hand next week ..

I somehow impulsively decided to order the Pro and thus replace my Note20 Ultra and seeing these pics I'm so glad I went for hazel and not obsidian! This seems to be such a subtle and elegant combo, wow! Getting pretty hyped for the phone next week. Also still considering what to do with the gratis watch I'll get, but guess I'll sell this one.

What are you guys and gals planning to do with those gift credits .. I'm thinking of using mine at BB for the Ultra watch ..saves me $240 ..

I'm pretty much set on using it for the Pixel Buds Pro (Lemongrass) to go with the Hazel 7 Pro. That is unless the Google store credit is good until next years phones. Then I might just use it next year but if it needs to be used within 90 days then i'll snag me a pair of the Pixel Pros.

Is that a 45mm Apple Watch you are wearing next to the Pixel Watch? What are your thoughts on the Watch screen quality and overall size? I really want to like the watch but it just looks so small compared to other smartwatches, and I don't know if I like that or not.

It's the 44mm Watch 5 ...Pixel watch is small..I like the screen but just too small for me...

And the other $75 ,....if my Wife wants a new phone, I'll use it towards hers. I don't need ear buds I have 4 JBL buds that I like a lot and I don't like wearing watches so I'm not interested in those at all.

We have 2 wireless charge stands but dont think they are fast chargers. I've had them since we had the Samsung 9.

I normally charge overnight so I rather have the slower charging.. Pixel stand I forgot how fast it charges so I will use that one for any charge bumps ..

I was able to check on the Pixel 7 at BB today.
They are very nice and the Hazel is such a great combination color wise. The curved display seems kes pronounced than the 6 from last year.

Well as @Aneres11 predicted. I got my order for the P7 Pro Hazel in at BB to pick up on the 13th

Mine says it will be emailed to me within 24 hours after shipping notice. But hec why not automatically apply it to my account? Not sure how they do it, never had store credit before.

Just a little update. I heard back from Google support. They are going to correct the info on the Irish store regarding the display error for the pixel 7 Pro. They also told me the Pixel Watch offer with the 7 Pro will likely be hitting the Irish store by end of October or early November and they advised me to wait. They will notify me when the offer is available. So I am having to sit on my early adopter hands at the moment, but it'll be worthwhile by the sounds of it. 👍🤓

Went to Best Buy today and played with the 7, and it noticeably feels smaller than my 6, only a hair bigger than my S22, so after skipping the fold 4, flip 4, and iPhone 14 upgrades, I ordered the new Pixel 7, came out to $150 after trading in my old pixel 6 plus a $125 gift card I’ve been holding onto. Also got a $100 Best Buy gift card in the deal, so really only came out $50.

Was almost able to make it until the end of the year…..

Another Pixel another ponderance. Got pixels and even nexus devices kind of scattered around. I don't have the best luck with them. Would the 7 pro, the 1k model along with the watch (eventually) be worth trying again? I don't know.

I haven't really experienced the newer stuff as a daily driver since the XL 2. My 4 barely worked enough to get used. My 3a is the main line, unrooted and I don't do much with it, it's just a phone and text device. Got a 5a I can't remember why I got it, I think to replace the 4 XL, then ended up using the 3a

I think you answered your own question. I would not place an order with Google because they charge a restocking fee even if it’s their fault. If you truly want to find out if this time is different, I would order one from Best Buy or Amazon who allows for returns.

For me the game changer is Google’s call screener. If Apple had something like that built into their OS I would try an iPhone. I have reduced my monthly spam and robocalls by nearly 99.99%. Battery life is probably better on an iPhone but Google Maps, Chrome and Google Keeps are better than the iOS counterparts.

I'd probably be more inclined to just order from Google. If I order that is.

will likely pick up a 7 pro obsidian in a couple months after photo samples and once the graphene update is out for it

meanwhile, this is from a 7 Pro. the colors and contrast look BRILLIANT as I've come to expect from Pixel in well lit outdoor shots like this. Can't wait for a ton more samples. this image has so much 'pop' factor, so much depth

I went and checked out the new toys at Best Buy today as well and was shocked at how tiny the Pixel Watch was when I put it next to my  watch. I think it’s way too small.

Once the watch and the phone are paired, you can leave your phone at home and the watch becomes your phone. You'll be able to receive and make phone calls and get text messages from your watch. That is pretty slick.

Can you do the above with an AW and iPhone?

I think so. I pretty have to jog my memory. Yes probably AW and iPhone will do that too.

I guess competition will be whether Pixel watch will be reliable. I don't put high hope but let's see.
For call making, there may be some issue. Whether call screening can bring to Pixel watch is a burning question for me now.

Speaking of call screening, Apple is purely lack of call screening so with dinosaur AI tech, I can say Apple is more reliable but lack functionality
