The brand is "Encased", and I ordered it from Amazon. I believe it was around C$16. I use a similar type of case with my iPhone 13 PM and like using a magnetic wallet when popping out for something quickly, taking say just my driver's licence and debit card with me and no bulky wallet.
Done going to add to my rotation ..I have a few instances for the use of magsafe...thank you

I’m so excited for you all! This thread is jumping! If I were getting one I think I’d go for the white one in honor of Snowball.

Sigh. Unfortunately I fired up my Pixel 6 Pro intending to get back into Android and test the camera against my 14 Pro Max. And now because I’m adjusted to the pwm on my 14 Pro Max, I’m completely incompatible with the display on my Pixel 6 Pro. I couldn’t focus on it. I got so dizzy I thought I might faint and so nauseous I thought I was going to lose my breakfast. :(

Financially speaking, I wasn’t going to be able to do this now anyway. But I thought down the road a few months, sure, why not. I love Pixels.

I knew I was not feeling great switching between my other OLEDs and my new iPhone but I had no idea it would be this bad. Jeez.

I’m going to just be thankful I can use the 14 Pro Max and settle down with it. There’s a forum member who was just diagnosed with what is permanent brain inflammation from his struggles with pwm sensitivity. He has headaches that no pain relievers can end. He’s going to get Botox injections into his scalp to see if it helps. I know what headaches like he has are like because that was my experience using the 13 Pro and that phone did permanently affect me and make me unable to use my 12 mini. I’m just lucky when I quit that iPhone that the headaches stopped. That other guy is permanently stuck with his. It’s a sobering prospect and I’m grateful to him for warning us how serious this can get.

I’m just not going to mess around with these OLED phones anymore. I can probably still use the cameras. And I’ll do that for awhile.

But no more money is going into anything other than more cases for my 14 Pro Max this year.

However I am going to be following along here. I love the new colors and I can’t wait to see how those of you who get the watch feel about it and see how it compares to Apple Watch.

FWIW the fingerprint sensor on Stormy the Pixel 6 Pro still works great for me. I have had no problems authenticating my left thumb print. Sometimes it doesn’t read my other prints all the great though.

Good to hear you’ve found an OLED that you can use without it having a negative impact on your health.
The 14 PM is a great phone. 👍🏻

Yeah I count myself very fortunate. Most of my friends on the pwm sensitivity thread had to give up on all of the 14 series. Some were going to give Pixel a try. I hope it works out for them. I could use my Pixel until I got the 14 Pro Max. And if I can have only one it’s got to be an iPhone. Even if iOS is kind of buggy right now.

Yeah iOS is the buggiest I’ve ever known it. I’ve had two freezes alone today. The phone eventually came responsive again without a reboot, but it’s jarring. Needs an update ASAP.

Also, for those looking to order the woven Pixel Watch Bands, Fitbit store seemingly is selling them with shipping from Mid October. They’re out of stock on Google store so it’s an option I guess although I have no clue if they have separate stock.

I guess that’s the price of just a small hole punch. Not secure enough payments. I wouldn’t trust it for passwords either.
I think everyone knows that, though. It's just a quick way of opening your phone. It does not have the technology necessary to be secure enough for passwords, sign-ins, etc., like iPhone or Pixel 4. Too bad but it is what it is.
Not sure why you bring up only bad things about the Pixel line.
I think I found a good avatar for you to use on Macrumours:

The poor love has been suspended now. 🤭

Speaking of the face unlock. It is a shame they haven’t got the same as what was in Pixel 4. I felt like Soli (? Is that what it was called) was pretty cool although the hand gesture thing was a bit gimmicky.

Maybe Pixel 8 will bring it back!

I‘m going with this case to start. Cheap and checks all my boxes for now. I really liked the official cases last year for as long as mine lasted, durability was terrible. Glad mine was free with the credit from the phone.

Last year my first case for my Pixel 6 Pro was a Google one. Looked fine at first but it really started to look grubby after a while. And not from dirt, oils, etc.
I'd keep it clean but it seemed to be almost deteriorating on it's own.
I think I'll put this years credit towards a set of Pixel Buds Pros. Still have the free set of Pixel buds from last years Pixel 6/6 Pro promotion. Like them but looking forward to having ANC.

Hmm, never heard of this. Did this start within the last year? Seems a real bummer for the multi phone enthusiasts like yourself.

Are the Google cases anygood? There is a Lemongrass case in the Google store but for $30 I wonder if it's any good, as in as tough compared to others half priced on Amazon,...like the armor cases from Spigen?
If I get a clear one, it would be a temporary case for the phone til more choices come out.

Well yours looks fine. Mine didn't look anything like that, well, not after maybe 4 or 5 months or so of use.
Not sure why there'd be such a difference.

Yup...I just saw another case with yellowing posted by a member on Android Central.. Maybe the darker case handles better? Weird though

Yeah my case was like an opaque white. Maybe the light colours are more sensitive to ultraviolet from daylight or something and break down faster. Just a guess.

I caved, with the Best Buy deal giving me $575 for my 6 Pro and $200 Gift Card, I just pre-ordered the Pixel 7 Pro in Obsidian, my first black phone in YEARS, I have always gone Panda, with the white back since like the Nexus 6P and every Pixel, but I want to go back to a stealth black look, plus the white back has no black on it anymore, and the shiny mirror finish frame I don't like anymore, want a dark frame.

Can we use that $200 gift card to pay off some of the balance on the phone itself?

Typically the answer is NO but it's worth a try. Most retailers won't let you use a gift card or store balance on a previous purchase or to pay off an existing balance. It is usually to buy something else in the store. Again it's worth having a chat or calling the store to get an answer.
