Hmmm, I actually do have Google voice. Rarely use it.
Yeah I know you can forward calls and you can actually text from within the app but then again I always had a SIM in each phone. So I guess you would have to be on Wi-Fi or connected to a network if you're going to be traveling with the phone.. what carrier are you on?

On att but want to switch to T-Mobile once I get settled with the phones. They kept saying my s22 ultra wasn't supported for switching to them. Checked multiple times. So I had to ditch it for that reason too. Lol.

Haha gotcha ...so as mentioned previously on here I'd also check TMO digits and options to run a second phone ..

I should be getting my Bellroy leather case tomorrow (Bluestone color), so I'll report back on it. I hate carrying this thing caseless. The glass on these is some of the slickest glass I've ever held.
Don´t mind me, just sitting here. Patiently waiting to hear feedback on the bluestone when you do get it. lol. Nah but that color caught my eye when i was looking through bellroys color options! Never seen or held a Bellroy case so i am a bit hesitant since they are quite expensive. Looking forward to some pics when you do get it! :)

It's an amazing device naked so I will stop you there!! I just don't want to damage it. 😜
I have to agree. It feels really nice naked. And in my hands it does not feel as slippery as i remember the 6P being, not even close. Dare i say i´m tempted to go caseless. Only thing really stopping me is what the camera bar on the Snow model will look like after a few scuffs. Which i know will happen and annoy me when it does.. So maybe putting a Bellroy on it will make me reconsider this madness. :p

Must admit I did debate going for that colour as well.

My experience with the Apple cases told me to play it safe and go with a dark colour. I'm all for my case looking 'worn in', but I didn't want it to start looking grubby over several months.

Looking forward to seeing some pics of it when you receive it.

I've ordered a Bellroy myself just now. Went with Taupe. Feel it will look good with the gold camera bar. I doubt it'll get grubby, as I will only have it on for my two office days. At home I will rock it NAKED as they day God made it. As it deserves to be. 😂

I’ve always kept a relatively inexpensive clear case, usually from Ringke (often heavily discounted via coupon codes from Slickdeals or past purchases) to cover my phones while I research more expensive options. A lot of times I actually end up keeping the cheap clear case on, at least until the edges start to yellow. I do like seeing my phones, but still having them protected. Scratches bug me, too.

Same here, currently have an $8 clear case on my 7 Pro. But now, thanks to this thread, I have a Bellroy "Blue Daze" leather case ordered. Thanks MR, I'm now $60 poorer!

Ringke has some nice good value cases. At least a couple of years ago. Unfortunately they for some reason refuse to make their products available on Amazon here so i don´t bother ordering them anymore since i have to pay for shipping so not worth it. Oh well, lucky Spigen does offer their products so got myself the Ultra Hybrid Clear Case when i ordered the Pixel just to have something and as usual Spigen are a solid option in my opinion.

Actually ordered a Bellroy Terracotta today after stumbling across some decent pics on reddit of it. Been wanting a brown leather-ish case ever since i had the Apple SB in daily use for 2 years on my XS. I still have the case even though the phone is long gone. Guess i´m keeping it to remind me of the only time in my life i managed to stay on 1 phone for that long and maybe a bit motivation to try and do it again. lol. Going a bit too off here i guess. Back to the Bellroy.. Yeah looking forward to getting it (even paid for express shipping) but i´m keeping my expectation way down since even Apple can´t produce good quality leather cases anymore. I´ll enjoy the Bellroy for as long as it lasts. But that´s it for me, no more cases! 😁

I hope you enjoy the Bellroy and your new phone. I’m beginning to think I might stay on my 14 Pro Max and my S22 Ultra for two years. Working together, they both give me most of what I want. Especially the periscope zoom on the Ultra.

If iPhone gets periscope zoom next year I would be super tempted to upgrade, but the problem is I can’t guarantee my health will be compatible with the display of the next iPhone. I have to be really careful now in moving from one OLED display to another. My time on the 13 Pro was a health disaster. I’m still in a state of incredulous disbelief I’m actually able to use the 14 Pro Max. I thought I’d be back on the iPhone 11 by now.

Unfortunately, I am not able to switch between Pixel 6 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max without getting really sick. Like seasickness kind of sick. Fortunately I seem able to switch between the S22 Ultra and the iPhone.

It’s not unusual I keep Pixels around forever. I never did trade away my Pixel 3 XL. And I kept going back to my Pixel 2 for years after I was supposed to have moved on. But when I bought my Pixel 6 Pro, I really did think I was going to upgrade it for a 7 Pro.

I may eventually do so if I can see a 7 Pro in person and determine that the display doesn’t make me dizzy and nauseous. Financially, it would have to be later.

The reason I still have an interest in Pixels is that the Samsung and iPhone destroy light in photos.

I don’t know quite how to explain it.

They just process it out somehow. It’s something I noticed trying to capture the beautiful mood lighting in a restaurant I was in. The algorithms are so intent on making everything bright and clear that they destroy subtle shadows and golden hues to make everything starkly visible. Older iPhones don’t do that, and in my past experience, Pixels have been the best at preserving subtle beams of light.

I can’t wait to see more of everyone’s photographic samples from their new Pixels.

Oops sorry I’ve run on a bit here! Carry on, friends!

We have plenty of peeps getting Bellroy case so either we all going to be happy but definitely $60 poorer haha

Ringke Fusion I can’t say enough it’s just excellent fit and no fingerprints…attention to detail they have ridges for power button so you can’t mistake for volume..and a dot for up volume so you can’t confuse it…

Looks exactly like the one I currently have. I hate it. Cheap and not cheerful 😔. Hoping Bellroy will provide a touch of luxury 😜

Picked up my Pixel 7 from Best Buy yesterday, it took over an hour. My rewards certificates botched up the Pixel 6 trade in for some reason. They had to call into corporate / some bigger center to have them resolve and they couldn't. Finally was able to cancel the order in my app and the manager just redid the whole transaction, applied the $480 trade in and gave me a physical $100 gift card.

Setting up now, the screen is noticeably worse than my iPhone 14 PM in terms of off-axis viewing. No dead pixels / dust at least. It has the "rainbow color tint" when I tilt the phone (switches rapidly through the whole spectrum of colors) and has a very limited straight-on viewing angle before the shift happens, but it isn't horrible. Nice to see that Google is still using older and crappier screens in 2022 when everyone else has made improvements.

Aside from that I love the phone compared to the 6 that I traded in. FPS is very quick and glad face unlock is back. It was a no-brainer considering what BB was offering for trade in of the 6. :)

I gotta say so far for my usage the battery on my P7P has been stellar! Right there almost as good as my 14 PM

Just ordered the Ringke Fusion case, thanks for posting images!
Awesome I highly recommend I know I sound like a spokesperson LOL.. I should have them start sending me review units since I'm always buying their stuff haha.. seriously I think you're going to be good with it and it's always nice having that one in the rotation to show off the color..
