Pixel 7 / Pixel 7 Pro

Looks like it's delivery day! Not sure which to use first. Haha

Both the Pixel 7 pro and 14 pro max are being delivered at the same time.

Another feature of the 7 series is Face Unlock. It works really well in regular lighting. In low light it has trouble working. There is a "rumor" that Face Unlock might come to the 6 Series but there has been no comment or official announcement from Google.

They'll do it eventually. Just like image unblur, its something they are keeping a Pixel 7 exclusive to boost sales. Once sales stagnate they'll proabbly update the 6 series to include both because its definitely not a hardware limitation.

I was born and raised in NYC. I grew up in the Bronx and did not live far from Yankee Stadium. My dad used to take me to games to see the Yankees. Bleacher seats IIRC were either 25 or 75 cents. I got to see The Mick play as well as some of the other Yankee greats back in the mid 60's.

Awesome good stuff ..I grew up in Brooklyn but went to plenty of Yankee games with dad...lots of fond memories..living in Staten Island now ..where ya move ?
 
Whats you guys opinions on the camera bump. Visual it looks like the only thing thats regressed

I personally liked the black glass visor over the shiny new look... Plus I'm hearing for those that want to daily drive the phone, naked scratches easily from what I've seen on comments and reviews

I think the camera bump is 1000% better than that of the iPhone Pro Max. That thing has grown to resemble a tumor. The phone rocks from side to side when you lay it flat. On the Pixel 6 and 7 series the camera bump causes the phone to tilt up which is fine by me. I'm good with the camera bump of the 6 and 7 series.

Yup. On it now. 14 pro max. I got the pixel mostly setup but had an issue with my work duo app that they wouldn’t allow me to add it without a phone number to a second phone. I think if I use my Google voice number and they send me the text it’ll work that way. Will attempt that so it doesn’t limit me to one phone. Need to test TMobile so now I can with the duel esim iPhone.

Very weird. TMobile app thinks my phone doesn’t have an esim. Lol.

I received my Bellroy leather in Blue Daze color today. I almost thought I got the wrong case because it is much darker in person than on their website. It's a nice case, I'm just not sure I'm happy with the color. The last pic is from their website. The leather on mine feels chalky too, not sure if that's how they all feel. Feels nothing like the Apple case.

Hmmm I ordered the same ..it looks more subdued in person from the website has more pop ...I should have mine Monday so we can compare...

I'm sure it will look different outside in natural light, but I'm inside more than out haha. I'll see how tomorrow goes. I'm not sure about the feel though. Definitely feels different than Apple, which can be good or bad.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this, but does it just not have much of a typical leather texture? The color actually looks closer to my Bluestone than the image of Blue Daze on their site.
 
This is my first time actually trying to use it thoroughly with anyone, but RCS is an extremely poor experience through the day and night with my wife and I. We are both on AT&T, both on Pixel 7's, and it keeps saying she is offline, then it says tell her I'm offline. All the while our phones both say connected.

If this is typical of the RCS messaging experience, then I want no part of it.

Edit: for the record this is my impression of RCS but I rarely "text" the folks in my social circles anyhow, with messaging apps being a thing.

Looks like it's the same place they send Samsung trade ins. I bought 2 Samsung tablets just before the Pixel 7and the trade in address is the same in La Vergne ,TN. My 4a should of got delivered there today and my tablet trade ins are there.

On one I got my points from Samsung....which amounts to nothing really,... but not the second one yet. Any day now.
Samsung gives you the money trade in credit beforehand. Google of course didn't.

Comparing it to other leather products I own it doesn't feel the same. Leather sofa, leather MacBook sleeve, leather seats in car etc. This has a feeling of almost touching a chalkboard, but not quite as chalky.

And yeah I was convinced it was the bluestone color until I saw the inside color was orange, like they show on the blue daze on their website.

Ah, gotcha. Might have something to do with the tanning process, considering it's an eco-tanned leather. I think mine feels quite similar to the recent iPhone leather cases I've had.
