My wife got her Pixel Watch yesterday, and it looks more elegant than I was expecting. She got the silver and it looks better on her wrist than the Apple Watch did.
The Watch is great. It looks very nice on the wrist IMO.
The battery is utterly awful and you can tell it's a first gen product. But for notifications and as a fashion accessory it's pretty nice.

She's primarily going to use it as a clock, to track steps, and to view notifications, so I think she will be okay with battery but only time will tell.

The Pixel 7 uses a rigid OLED screen which is susceptible to the rainbow effect and has worse off axis color shift. These display are cheaper and what helps allow the price to only be $599... If you are going to compare screens to an $1,100 iPhone 14 PM then at least compare they 7 Pro screen which is a flexible OLED screen as you'd expect from a flagship.
Oh this sucks, this is the reason I returned the pixel 6 , the screen was awful: awful screen uniformity, bad viewing angles, purple tint.

Yes I know the pixel 7 costs 650 euros (and yes the iPhone 14 pro is ridiculously expensive) but the pixel 5 (except for the lower brightness) had a better screen, also the pixel 7 is supposed to be goggle's flagship, their budget devices are the A series

OMG, i'm jealous. NYC has the best Pizza in the world and just look at that NY style crust. I must say that most NY'ers only eat cheese pizza, myself included. I ran into a pizza owner from NYC in Florida out of all places that I used to go to when I was a teenager in NYC.

He agreed that NY'ers favor cheese pizza and that it's the most difficult to make.

My bellroy leather case feels much softer after a few days. It isn't chalky/scratchy feeling anymore. Feels similar to leather I am used to now. Probably going to return it though due to the color looking nothing like their website.

Yep, it is. I’ll be honest. I rarely use that zoom. So, not much of a loss to me. What I can’t stand is how slow the phone takes to open the camera app when I’m in hurry. I’ve missed so many shots because of that.
Oh yeah I agree on that. I like using the manual controls though. But yeah as a quick point and shoot camera it’s easy to fumble, especially if you go to check a shot you just took and want to quickly get back to the camera.

I’m starting to also get better at controlling my 14 Pro Max camera to get the results I want. But I’m going to give Halide a try next month (hoping to have more time to play around with the free trial then). It looks like with Halide I might be able to expect some really spectacular shots, especially if I learn how to properly edit them.

I’m not sure what’s going on with me and pwm and whether or not I’ll be able to pick up a Pixel again, either my own or a new one. My left eye has been hurting last couple of days. But I probably have a concussion. I’m a disaster.

Ah there’s a Pixel commercial playing now! I’m watching football on tv with my husband. Wow, two commercials featuring Pixels, one after another. The second one is a carrier commercial but they’re advertising Pixels, too. What a gorgeous phone. Y’all are so lucky!

Couldn’t wait for sales / offers any longer, but managed to secure a pixel 7 new and sealed for €500. Should arrive Tuesday :) looking forward to taking some snaps but it’s going to be strange, last week my little doggy crossed the rainbow road joining his brother who passed the year before, so I no longer have my doggy photo models, and life is disturbingly quiet since ….

Oh sorry to hear about it..... Congrats on purchase and hopefully can enjoy it differently.

Really sorry to read this, MRU. It's the hardest thing to go through. Sometimes worse than losing a person, as odd as that sounds.

Sorry for your loss. Losing a dog is brutal and heartbreaking. We had to put our great dog Lady down this Spring suddenly, and it was very hard so sad.

And yes the house is immediately quiet after, which makes it tough.

We waited a couple months before looking for another dog, but we wanted one again to walk daily and have a barker aa security. And of course to have another furbaby to cuddle and spread love.

This is Midnight we adopted her from Midwest Labrador Rescue.

Oh no! I’m so sorry. It’s always so good to see you around here but yeah it’s going to be strange to see photos by you without your charming model.

I can just imagine how disturbing the quiet feels to you. I have a pretty good idea. I’m sure a lot of us here do, sadly.

Still, I look forward to your photos. I’m sure you’ll find many beautiful subjects to photograph. I’m happy you were able to get the Pixel 7.

I can't stress enough how Google has improved battery life on the Pixel 7 Pro. It no longer drains as fast as it did with the series 6 phones and from what I read they decided to go with the same 5000 mAh battery in the Pro and put that in the Pixel 7 which is a bump up from the 4600 mAh battry in the Pixel 6. The 7 Pro is just so SMOOTH.

Really sorry for your loss! Having lost a few over the years, I (like many here) can relate! Cherish the memories... That's what I do and smile ! We're all temporary!

I received my Buds Pro from Best Buy and honestly they aren’t worth it, in the sense to me they sound no different than other wireless earbuds. My biggest problem is they are not loud enough even at 100% volume. My Pixel Bus A sound louder and sound equally as good.

The Buds Pro are in the same group as the Soundcore Liberty Pro 3 wireless earbuds I bought on Amazon during a lightning deal. So the Buds Pro are going back.

I have to disagree! The buds A's sound utter rubbish, particularly in comparison to the Pros.
If you have other buds that do the job then they probably are a pointless purchase. But to me they sound just as good as my AirPod Pros.

I agree. Received my Pixel Buds Pro this weekend and they sound almost good as my Airpods Pro 2. Not quite as good but more comfortable in my opinion and obviously the integration with the pixel make them a better choice when using the pixel.
