My Bellroy came much quicker than expected…!

It’s a keeper for me. It does add some weight, though. But feels nice. It is a little slippy but I recall Apple leather cases being the same to start with.

I’ll be going down to two as the s22 has to be traded in. Haha. Using the iPhone first so I could my work stuff working. Pixel is next. May have to use it for TMobile testing first.

This is my first time actually trying to use it thoroughly with anyone, but RCS is an extremely poor experience through the day and night with my wife and I. We are both on AT&T, both on Pixel 7's, and it keeps saying she is offline, then it says tell her I'm offline. All the while our phones both say connected.

If this is typical of the RCS messaging experience, then I want no part of it.

Edit: for the record this is my impression of RCS but I rarely "text" the folks in my social circles anyhow, with messaging apps being a thing.

I never had problems with RCS outside of a few times when I got disconnected from their servers and needed to toggle it on and off.

I'm suspicious that what we are experiencing is an AT&T issue, and maybe more specifically on my wife's side.

Looks great. Give it a few days of use and it’ll become more grippy. Mine was like a bar of soap to start with but is fine now.

I actually think we rectified this problem by updating the Carrier Services system app.

I received my Bellroy leather in Blue Daze color today. I almost thought I got the wrong case because it is much darker in person than on their website. It's a nice case, I'm just not sure I'm happy with the color. The last pic is from their website. The leather on mine feels chalky too, not sure if that's how they all feel. Yep, it is. I’ll be honest. I rarely use that zoom. So, not much of a loss to me. What I can’t stand is how slow the phone takes to open the camera app when I’m in hurry. I’ve missed so many shots because of that.

I know this is a little off topic, but seems I may not switch to TMobile now. I’m doing their trial, and my internet on the phone doesn’t work in my house. One bar for signal just like AT&T. But I’ve got their home internet and by a window it gets 4 bars with high speed 500 down. That makes no sense to me. Lol. Even stood next to it and still have issues. :/

For those that ordered thru the Google store, check your Gmail. I got an email today to get anything in the store for $10 off so basically I have $110 store credit.

I know it's free money but hey I have a lot of patients on these things and just thought $29 was too much for a case....let alone the $55, they want for a Bellroy. Didn't want to spend $29 on a case that didn't get great reviews previously but for $19 I'll give it a shot.

Ordered the Lemongrass Google case.
Still using my 18 watt charger from my 4a and it charges pretty fast.

Looking forward to seeing how the Bellroy cases hold up. I might pick up the black one to match the Obsidian 7 Pro but I'm really tempted by the Terracotta colour. Do they have a leather smell? I had a Saddle Brown Apple case on my iPhone 12 which smelt of nothing.

Also interested in the Mous cases for the durability.

Not much of a smell on mine, but I've only ever had one brand of leather case that hasld a strong leather smell and that was Bullstrap.
