Bit late to the Google promotion offer but just submitted to claim my reward (LTE watch) and got a text 30 seconds after claim submission to say that my order was approved. Was expecting to wait at least a few days.

Good day folks!.. I saw a few posts on Google VPN and it looks like if you go into the Google One app you're able to enable it for those that are interested...

Saw that but im not interested in paying $9.99 a month for Google One. They are offering a 3 month trial. The other things that come with it used to be free.

I paid $28 a year for IPVanish VPN on a Holliday deal and can use it on all devices in the house.

I would not pay that either. This is for getting the VPN for free for Pixel 7 owners.

Peeping over the fence from Apple land.. since I ditched the S21 Ultra.
I am seriously considering the Pixel 7 Pro.. what has the connectivity been like for you guys?
Especially interested to hear from the UK crowd.
Cheers.

A non issue. Speaking for myself, of course. But if youre the kind who sits and watches an iPhone and a pixel and counts signal bars then you will likely find something to moan about. 🤣

I’m not one of those signal bar watchers. Haha.

Have to admit I got faster speeds with the S21 Ultra than I did with the iPhone 13 Pro but the iPhone 14 Pro has now closed the gap.

I heard last year’s Pixels were horrendous with dropped calls etc.

I just want to make sure I don’t get dropped calls etc and make sure I get my monies worth from my EE max speeds.

Currently toying with the idea of the Pixel 7 Pro or the S22 Ultra. Not had a Pixel since the OG Pixel which I loved.

Decisions decisions.

You have good choices with both phones ..I think this is the best Pixel phone since OG if that helps any and you are due to try one since it's been a long long time for you ...

I didn't have too many dropped call issues with my P6P but did notice slower speeds and occasionally no signal in places my S22U or iPhone would have. That's not the case so far on the P7P. Speeds have been just as good my Z Fold4 and iPhone 14PM and no loss of signal at all. The modem performance seems to be improved to me. This is one of the fastest speedtest results I've had here in the Dallas area on AT&T.

I've only seen these speeds in a few places where AT&T has mmwave deployed. Downtown Dallas, Houston, Indianapolis, and at Universal Studios in Orlando where I got over 1 gbps with my S22U. I live and work in the suburbs of Dallas and the speeds are still not too shabby.

I am thinking of doing the same thing. Tell me your impressions and thoughts about the difference between the two if you would be so kind.
Honestly no specific reason other than I fancied a change and not had a Pixel since the 4. I love the camera on this much more than my 13 Pro.

Just ordered the Pixel stand 2nd gen, I've had the original since it first came out so be a nice upgrade. Considering the Bellroy case, looks much better than the one I had for my Pixel 4.

Congrats on your purchase. You really can't go wrong with either phone but Google has upped their game and is taking the Pixel line a lot more serious as is evident by all the incentives this year to get more phones in the hands of future customers.

I've said this many times that while I have never owned an iPhone and would like one, what holds me back are features that are lacking on the iPhone. For me it's the software and Google aces it more than Apple does.

Google's Call Screener vs Apple's (still waiting)
Google's Assistant vs Siri (shameful that Apple has neglected something they introduced in 2010)
Google Maps is still the best
Google Chrome is still more compatible and is more stable with less RAM. I have yet to encounter a page reload with less than 3GB of RAM.
When it comes to the cameras, they are both good but Google does more with far less hardware than Apple.
