Curved screens will always have problems with screen protectors unless they stop before the curve starts. The ones that claim to work and cover the full screen are lying. They’ll bubble because their not engineered precise enough not to bubble.
They now make tempered glass screen protectors that go over the curved edges. I bought some for my Pixel 7 Pro and they work really well once they set in. In the beginning it had trouble enrolling my fingerprint and that was because the new screen protectors have a cutout that fits over the sensor. When you first install it, it's not sitting flush on the glass. After a few days it flattens out and it's no longer an issue.

Oh that's right, the 7 pro has a curve.

That's why I didn't want it lol .
I'm not crazy about a curved screen but the 7 Pro's screen is much better than the 6 Pro. The curved edges are barely noticeable on the 7 Pro. If the 7 Pro had a flat screen, it would make the phone wider when holding it.

I don't have a 7 Pro but I'm using this screen protector on my P7 View attachment 2130589
These are the screen protectors I got for the 7 Pro and they work really well.

And I'm fine with that. The 7 pro isn't much bigger than the regular 7. It's only .14" wider which is a hair over 1/8".
I hated the curved screen on my last Samsung Galaxy phone. I will never get another.

never had a single issue with a Whitestone Dome screen protector. Have one on my 7 Pro and S22 Ultra and not a bubble to be seen.

i would so love a wider P7 Pro. It being so narrow in the hand is why I use my 14 Pm and S22U more. I hardly use my P7 Pro anymore.

Those might be the exception. Aren’t they like $50 and come with a tray that lines up with the phone?

My point is, for something to be tempered glass and fit a curve, the engineering and placement has to be really precise so that the bevel of the protector matches the bevel of the screen. Otherwise, their will be air gaps.

Got mine for $34.99 for a 2 pack.

And yes you have to get one that is well engineered with great quality control (hence the additional cost). I don't mind paying a little extra to get the protection while not having to feel a plasticky screen. My point is not all of them that claim full screen coverage are lying. The dome glass has been great on every device I've installed it on.

Don't get me wrong. I hate curved screens also. But I'm not going to let that keep me from enjoying an otherwise outstanding device.

So what screen protector do you all use for the Pixel 7 Pro? I tried a tpu protector and it is full of bubbles even doing it in the shower with steam and cleaning the screen. Most of the Amazon tempered glass ones seem to only have adhesive on the sides and I hate that.

I would like a tempered glass screen protector that doesn't use uv glue that has adhesive on the entire protector?
I gave up on trying to use tempered glass long ago on curved screens. The Omoton TPU ones are great because the installation method makes it very easy. And they give you three tries to not mess it up. I installed perfectly on my first try on the 7 Pro. Also doesn't feel as plasticky as TPU ones from back in the day.

Do you get the texture on the screen that affects image quality? One of the things that bothers me about the tpu screen protector is that it seems to alter the screen image? You see like the texture of the plastic on the screen if that makes sense?

I don’t notice anything. I have seen what you are talking about though. I had protectors do this years ago.

I've been using the same screen protector since the first day and the only one that I installed from the pack with zero issues and my screen looks perfectly fine to my eyes as well...

7 Pro and 6A absolutely dominated Marques' blind camera test. 600,000+ people voted. iPhone 14 wasn't even close to top 3. There's no disputing Pixel as the stills king anymore. Congrats Pixel Camera team.

Not surprised. People bleat on about iPhone cameras but it's still far away from Pixel in most scenarios IMO.
Obviously video is a different story.

All the more impressive when you add that the Pixel's camera isn't even the best camera on the market. This is all made possible by Google's AI software.

Exactly. Now take into consideration the bang for buck factor. Right now you can pick up a 6A for $299 and it will beat not only Google's latest flagship but all other $1000+ flagships including the iPhone. Now THAT is an incredible deal.

Well at $749 the 7 Pro is a pretty good deal too and so is the 7 at $499. Seems like Google is finally taking their phones seriously.

6a certainly best value I think it helps it'd had those sensors for years so gives Google plenty of time to optimize
