I didn't lose contacts but 16.3 on my 14 PM is hot garbage.

I hardly even use my iPhone these days. Only reason I keep it charged and pick it up occasionally is to sync workout and health data with my Apple Watch Ultra. That device on the other hand I love. Too bad there will never be android compatibility.
Same here....I love my AWU. I wish it could work with Android. But we all know that will never happen. But it is till a good timepiece even when I am using my S22U

I didnt realise iPhone 14 was esim only. Makes changing sims so inconvenient. This has now made me even more determined to move over to something like the Pixel whenever I can. Although I do fear all the Android manufacturers will soon follow in Apple's footsteps and be esim only.
I am with you on the eSIM front. I can see the value in the premise...but right now the switching process is horrible.
I had to import a Canadian iphone to keep using a sim card so I can switch to my Android phones.

FWIW swapping the eSIM on 2 of my devices is as simple as opening their app, and moving service over.

If the provider does games like charging for such a swap, that is a different issue, but overall it really should be a simple process.

For fun, I just looked on the T-Mobile app and when you try to change sims it prompts you to go to a store or call.

What’s frustrating is that Mint Mobile (an MVNO of T-Mobile) doesn’t have that policy. Switching from my Pixel 6 to my 7 was a non issue.
i had heard Mint charges a fee for swapping sims cards? My issue with Verizon is swapping from a sim card to esim usually requires a call to support.

I've had good luck swapping between esim and physical sim as well as esim to esim on Verizon all through the online portal. It was shockingly seamless.

Google Fi, also a T-Mobile MVNO was super simple to set up the eSIM on my Pixel 7, and I imagine also simple to swap devices at no extra cost.

Makes sense since their internal and wholly owned subsidiary, Visible has a seamless app based solution for this now. A year ago you had to call in, but by 14 pro launch they resolved this.

Exactly haha. I mean they do have unlimited plans. I just wanted to test drive the service.. but already at the gym tonight I was in the locker room and the phone went to E which I think is edge and it wouldn't come out of it. When I left. I had to toggle airplane mode and 5g came back on..

Yep unlimited but even their highest plan you are subject to lower speeds after 35gb right? I love the idea of saving money for sure but I'm already saving a considerable amount by moving my lines from AT&T to TMO and surprisingly getting better service here in Texas might I add. Those insane speeds are just icing on the cake. The magenta max TMobile plan is the best value out there if you use a ton of data, travel alot, and 4 or more lines.

Mint runs on the T-Mobile network, right? It's definitely a great value for someone who doesn't use a ton of data or hotspot data. Someone like my parents who just send the occasional text, email, etc.

Yup they use T-Mobile..my APN has TMO...Pixel download automatically through the app ...yeah good deal for some folks and I ran some speed tests in a few areas they were good to great ..but just that one area at gym where my Verizon phones were pulling easily ..

After the promo these are the prices for yearly plans save the most ..

Probably subsidized by the hackers they allow into their customer database...
I'm so disappointed with T-Mobile and the breeches. They had one when I was using them back in the day and they've had two since I've left them.. it's really a shame because their service has gotten much much better and overall I think they've improved everything greatly other than the hacks, of course.. I think I got like 2 years of protection from them after the first hack...

One thing that didn't change with T-Mobile and I noticed this morning ..no cell service going through the Brooklyn battery tunnel which is a no go for me ...I don't know why this has not been resolved smh

Is everyone on the new AA update ? I like the layout and now I can run maps on both screens ..

I had a locked T mobile iPhone 13 Pro Max. I had it for over a year on T mobile but I bought it through Best Buy. I spent over a month trying to get it unlocked as I had paid the phone off and met all of their requirements except one. It also has to be bought at a T mobile store.

Now if after the first couple of tries they told me that I couldn't unlock it I would have been pissed but at least I would know to either stay or buy another phone. Instead they were so inept they told me it would be unlocked, then nothing. Call again and it will take another 3 days. This went on for a month bouncing from one department to another. Eventually they said that my request was denied.

I am so angry over the experience I will never use T mobile again. At least for a while until some too good to be true deal anyway.

So how are you all still liking your Pixel 7 Pro/7? Now that the Samsung s23 is out are any of you thinking of switching?

I wanted to get an s23 ultra not to replace my P7P but to use with it and compare but Samsung trade in deals were so bad that isn't happening for me.

Just curious and if anyone gets an s23 it would be cool to hear your thoughts comparing to the Pixel 7 Pro or 7.

I'm planning on keeping my P7P and when the foldables come out I'll decide what to do with the flip 4... But the recent Samsung trade-ins I hope they don't follow the same way end of year

Still happy with my pixel 7 pro. I’ve pre ordered the s23 ultra mainly for camera testing reasons and I doubt I will keep it. Having a 2nd main phone which costs £300 more than my pixel 7 pro is a tough sell certainly when I have the Z fold 4 as well. Granted my Z fold 4 is used as a tablet more than a phone
