Happened to me as well. They sent me two (the first one was scratched, so they sent me another. They didn't want me to return the first one, so I used it as my beater cover).

Would you recommend this over the touch version of it?

I prefer it over the touch version. I found that I accidentally touched the side of the screen while I was reading, which caused the page to turn. Did not like.

If you don't have a Starbucks card, I would recommend it. Refills are free for iced coffee, coffee, and tea plus other perks. I will be making a trip to Starbucks for my Espresso machine and a new cup.
