My current desktop running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 Seed something something :)

I recently had a Star Wars marathon going through 1-6 so I'm in a "space mood" lately. :D

Note about wallpaper: The version I use of this has been edited by my self to remove the watermark and is in 1680x1050 which is MacBook Pro Retina 13" largest scaled resolution. There is no need to get a upscaled 2560x1440 because it will just be bloated and pixelated anyways but you can go ahead and get it from the website.

Wallpaper:

My version - https://www.dropbox.com/s/h6oxgu5vz27jhrz/Space.png?dl=0

Website Version (with watermark) - http://wallpaperswide.com/space_fantasy_2-wallpapers.html

Menubar song app: Emcee (MAS)

And thats about it

Now that we are in 2015, I'm already looking forward to WWDC 2015 even if it's 5 months left :p

They will keep building upon Yosemite's facelift which is good because just like when they redesigned iOS, it was buggy, laggy and iOS 8 turned out better so lets hope for the same with OS X 10.11

Whats the app in your dock that has the movie popcorn icon? Some sort of media center app???

I got a Macbook Air for Christmas and for someone only having been used to Windows all my life, it was quite a change with new things to learn but I am getting by pretty good without any troubles so far. Tutorials on YouTube have been very helpful and hopefully my Macbook will last way longer than my Dell laptop did.

Here's a screenshot I took shortly after getting it up and running, updating to Yosemite, installing a few apps and applying a wallpaper:

And this is what it looks like as of today, with the dock tweak cDock enabled (which gives you the classic 3D dock from earlier OS versions, but still lets you revert to the new Yosemite dock if you feel like it):

Congrats on your new acquisition! As long as you take care of it, you should get many happy years out of your new Mac. It looks like you're off to a good start! Seems like no matter how many tweaks I install, I usually return to the stock OS sooner or later...but I'm pretty ADD when it comes to those things! :D

If you're looking for places to find great wallpapers, here is where I get most of mine:

interfacelift.com
deviantart.com
papers.co
iliketowastemytime.com/wallpapers
wallpaperswide.com
reddit.com/r/wallpaper

(not that most of these couldn't have been found on a Windows machine :p )

They are no longer in service...closed their doors "today" (whatever today was) :(

http://getpopcornti.me/

I would not worry about that, they have "closed their doors" twice since they first came around. They went from Popcorn Time to Popcorn-Time and now they will probably just use a new name and someone else will keep it going.

Thats what great about them being open source :p Until someone decides to ruin it with their own code that is.

But to make sure you get the right version which is the first version of the app. (Works even if the original team has discontinued) I could upload it to Dropbox and send you a link? You'll get my awesome custom icon with it as well

I love it! Tell me how you did it, please.

Thanks! :D

GeekTool - Overlaid the rainbow logo on the black one

Bartender - Removed everything but the time and battery, set the icon as the Finder guy

Desktop - Just used the custom color feature

uBar - Added some system preference panels from the Finder by just finding the in their folder

Folders - LiteIcon, and these folders: http://blackvariant.deviantart.com/art/Yosemite-Coloured-Folders-471755385

Trashcan - Actually didn't set it up properly, Really should just make an alias and then apply the icon. Right now it's just a folder called Trash.
