Appreciate the response....hopefully machitman will respond as I would hate to make a mess of this.

Yes you do need GeekTool in order to do that, you can get GeekTool from the link below.:)
http://projects.tynsoe.org/en/geektool/download.php
Then you need to open every single geeklet files (.glet) that you downloaded.
You can try to learn how to use GeekTool first because it would be a bit confusing for beginners.
Do some research before you perform anything might be better.;)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VewxH7xWYww (Special thx to MakeUseOf)
Then you can arrange where to locate your geeklet.
Should be easy, but you also need to be careful and watch out memory usage, do it at your own risk.

Thank you, much appreciated...

Looked at a number of Youtube videos, seems simple enough...download the GeekTool, start it up, download the geeklets in the zip file you sent, open them up, place them where you want and, voila, desktop done...

Am I missing anything?

Then you should be good to go:)
You can also try some other geeklets or even make one yourself.
Which can make your desktop looks prettier:D

Appreciate everything...will try over the weekend when I have some time to try to replicate what you built as I very much like your desktop!

One more follow up, do the Geeklets that you posted resolve the one or two minor issues that you were having?

TIA,

Joel

It's should work perfectly fine, the issue that I had should be something related to my Mac's settings, it's working just fine to me right now.

after using cDock to customize my dock it looks like this:

Well finally something more than a wallpaper :)
Nice customizing on the Dock! And that Finder icon, from SnowE2?
Do you run the graphite appearance in this setup?

Could I please have a copy of the 2nd and 4th wallpapers.

Here you go!

Where do I find this background?

Here (from my stash--can't remember where I found the original...)

Yup, that's the one!

Agreed, they did a good job refining it. The early betas had a horribly large battery indicator, btw. Glad they changed that, too! :D

Sorry if this is a repost in this thread, but I found this in another Yosemite thread and thought it belonged here as well...

The largest size is 1900x1200, so not useful for me, but others might enjoy:

My current desktop running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2 Seed something something :)

I recently had a Star Wars marathon going through 1-6 so I'm in a "space mood" lately. :D

Note about wallpaper: The version I use of this has been edited by my self to remove the watermark and is in 1680x1050 which is MacBook Pro Retina 13" largest scaled resolution. There is no need to get a upscaled 2560x1440 because it will just be bloated and pixelated anyways but you can go ahead and get it from the website.

Wallpaper:

My version - https://www.dropbox.com/s/h6oxgu5vz27jhrz/Space.png?dl=0

Website Version (with watermark) - http://wallpaperswide.com/space_fantasy_2-wallpapers.html

Menubar song app: Emcee (MAS)

And thats about it

Now that we are in 2015, I'm already looking forward to WWDC 2015 even if it's 5 months left :p

They will keep building upon Yosemite's facelift which is good because just like when they redesigned iOS, it was buggy, laggy and iOS 8 turned out better so lets hope for the same with OS X 10.11

Wow this is pretty sweet.

Sure is, I used to have a similar app back on Mavericks and I remember when Yosemite released I was just waiting and waiting for a yosemite-compatible version to come along that I forgot about it and found it today, quite pleased with it.

Use it mostly for Spotify Radio tho, to see what song is playing if I like it. ;)
