its black when discharging like on iOS 7/8
Ah right, I've not made it that far yet myself :)

Seems a strange behaviour to me. I'd have thought 'black whilst on mains' and 'green/amber/red whilst on battery' made more sense.

This was probably debated at inordinate length when iOS7 was first released, of course...

Frankly with the exception of it turning red when it reaches the end of the battery, I could do without that colour.

I don't think I'm ever getting past that font. It looks like if you were to change the font on Windows to Helvetica Neue. It doesn't have that Mac smoothness to it.

Thanks. So no real changes there, except that App icons are removed in Mission Control, and that Dashboard appear to be missing? :( Such a pity, I use it every day..

I have app icons in mine. Dashboard is still there. No changes to it so far. I don't think you can take screenshots there, though. Here's Mission Control.

Can the menu bar be made opaque?

Never was a fan of the translucent menu bar... I find it distracting.

It's the same as in Mavericks and other versions. System Preferences > Desktop & Screen Saver has the option to enable or disable the translucent menu bar.

Just got it up and working on a clean partition

Beautiful shots of a clean system. I have a request actually. Do you think you could take a screenshot of the launchpad, with the default, clean install arrangement of Apple icons?

It would be much appreciated! :)

What do you want to see? The windows maintain the Yosemite flatness, but there is no transparency.
Well, they use a couple of custom control elements. I'm wondering how much they stand out from the surrounding new UI design. Same goes for other programs, too, like Firefox.

I see that Apple has not yet changed the icons for internal and external drives. With so many Macs running SSD's, a hard drive icon is due for a change.

Hopefully they will change that before the public release.

Edit: I see I'm not the only one who noticed :p

Could someone post screenshots of the ability to send & receive phone calls ?

Also regarding the SMS messages .... Does it work already ...

I really love to see the wave bar ( if that's the name ) when you're on a phone call on mac which goes up and down like an equalizer ...... :D:D:D

Thanks guys ....
