Here is one of my two pet pigeons (this one is mine). Yes, that's a birdy diaper. She loves the warmth of the computer monitor. Bought her and her brother as babies from a racing pigeon breeder, hand fed both of them, and now they're regular pets.

And them together when they were younger:

Here and there
I searched quickly and couldn’t find a post on this...

I’m a animal lover. Have 2 cats, 1 dog and 2 aquariums. I just lost my other 2 dogs this year. My old man was 14 and his ‘sister’ was almost 11. RIP Rebel and Libby

Both cats and the pooch are rescues from the local animal shelter. Teddy my pit bull is amazing. Sweetest dog ever. Don’t understand how he could have been abandoned. He gets along with the cats. Funny seeing a “ferocious” pitbull hanging out with a cat.

Thank you for your kind thoughts. It still hurts, but now at least we are talking about all his little adventures and mishaps over the years. He was a one-off; never met a dog like him in nearly 60 years of having them.

Cheers :)

Hugh

So sorry for your loss :(

I've been there a few times and it never gets any easier. A few years back I lost my Afghan Hound at 11.5 years old to cancer. Just heartbreaking :( :( :(

Adopted this little chunker yesterday, she is 9 months old and completely deaf but is so well behaved.

A billion upvotes for you!
[doublepost=1506087364][/doublepost]Not my pet per-se, but I did rescue this little juvenile squirrel from a cat this morning. He only had a small puncture wound to the shoulder but should be fine. Took him to my vet and they will treat him and send him to a rehab place.

It's taken me two weeks to find the strength to post this, but we lost our Sam to cancer at 16½ years old, and we miss him so much.

Mad Dog
by Hugh Russell, on Flickr

Here's to the cheekiest, naughtiest, maddest and most loving dog I've ever known.
Aww Hugh I've only just seen this. So sorry to hear of your loss :( At least he had 16 and a half wonderful years with a loving family and you had plenty of good times together.

Thanks mate...
You know that 'never again' vow you make when you lose a beloved friend - well, I think we'll be on the lookout soon ;)

Cheers :)

Hugh

I’m on my first dog and know that I’ll be devastated when he leaves us. That’s why I’m convinced he will live for ever. He got attacked by a rogue bee's nest today and took a couple of stings but I fought them off him and nursed him this evening. He’s back to his normal hooligan self thankfully.

Good luck in your hunt for a new best friend :)

Poor Bob. You should keep some Piriton in stock in case he bites one and gets stung in the mouth.

Cheers :)
