Here is a few of my dog. He's a English Yellow Lab named Rowdy.

His face looks like he's part Mastiff.

My dog buddy. I found him on a friends doorstep when he was just a few weeks old and about 50 pounds lighter. Great dog.... just not all that smart. Still he is a great friend and companion. I am looking into adopting a greyhound in Jan or Feb. I will post pics when I get her.

This is a group photo I was trying to do for my wife. The second photo is Daisy, we adopted her and one of her kittens (b/w cat to her right) from a vet clinic.

hah, no. but he's a curious little guy.

well be prepared for the eventual partially dead creature in your house. Many times I have come home to find a vole running around.

My 19 year old cat hunting days over thankfully, although there is still the intent. Maybe one day he will surprise me.

pilotkid, that Nikon D40 of yours takes great pictures! Rowdy's a handsome boy. :)

Alright, here are my two Great Danes. Gracie (merle) is 3.5 years old, while Harley (black) just turned 2. We've had Gracie since she was 4 months and we just adopted Harley back in June. I love them to death.

Nice set of pictures.

How did Gracie take to Harley entering the house? Seems like they get on extremely well now.

Lovely dogs.

Lovely dogs.

Thank you! Prior to bringing Harley into our home, they both met on neutral grounds which I was told by many of my friends to do. Since day 1 they've gotten along extremely well - no food aggression or anything like that at all. I have to admit that I was a bit nervous at first but now, I am quite pleased. It's been a pleasure having two.. the more the merrier. :)

Here they are playing in the snow today. Sorry the video quality isn't better:

I can imagine about being nervous but as the pics/video show they are great friends.

Great tip about the neutral ground. I have only had one dog (who was put down in Sept) and whenever another dog was bought to the house there was tension.

We are looking at getting another dog (maybe two undecided at the moment).

So sorry to hear about your dog's passing. I know how hard that is.

If you decide to get two, I wouldn't get two dogs of the same sex. I believe there will be more risk of fighting/tension in the home, although that's not always the case. We were looking to adopt a young female before meeting Harley, and we heard so many stories about having two females (or two males) fight, so we decided against it. I really wanted another girl too, but now I think having one of each is a good mix.

Good luck with your decision. :)
