Just cuz I upgraded the ram in my g5 today. Not sure why my powerbooks "about" screen doesn't show the startup disk(might be panther) but it's name is lappy 486

it's not showing 'cos you're in Panther. I think iGary said it only showed up in Tiger.

My Mac mini... I need to upgrade the RAM to 1Gb really but don't feel like trying to get the case off again! :eek:

Just pulled downgraded my old iBook's RAM from 640 (512 + 128) to 256 (128 + 128) MB, to use the 512 MB module in my girlfriend's iBook, giving her a cool GB on her machine.... :)

Typing this from the iBook, which doesn't seem that much slower (well, as long as I'm just running one or two apps and not try anything stupid, like using Photoshop and/or AirTunes. For just Firefox and TextWrangler it's just fine. Nice backup machine for my MacBook... :)
