lol, a powermac g4 isn't that bad is it? is it?
I think you're being a little too hard on him. Jaguar is still a good OS, even by today's standards, and it was the first real complete version of OS X. If you're gonna make the argument that Jag isn't usable, and he should go out and buy Tiger so he can actually use his computer, you'd better be saying more than that to PC users, whose last update of Panther or Tiger's magnitude was all the way back in 2001. There's still plenty of things you can do with Jag, even though it may not have everything that Tiger does, and it's still always better than using any revision of Windows. Lay off a little bit.StealthRider said:Every 10 minutes, no. Every three years, yeah, it's time for an update. The G4 is an excellent machine...but Jaguar is an awfully outdated OS. Go buy Tiger.

RDRAM is real......Josias said:Dude, RDR RAM? It's cool, yet many people screw up in the RAM making fakes. Just like the Leopard fake screenshots.

Oh, it's real If I can get Leopard to run on that box, I'll definitely be putting more RDRAM in there. Still waiting for video drivers though. For now it's just a hack box to have fun on. I still get my work done on the Power Mac G5 and stay mobile with my new MacBook.Josias said:Dude, RDR RAM? It's cool, yet many people screw up in the RAM making fakes. AlBDamned said:True - a 1GHz G4 Power Mac is still a highly usable machine. I know someone who produces three magazines a month using 1 1GHz G4 PowerBook (Alu) running Tiger, Quark 6.5 and CS2. Works a treat. She is looking at a last generation quad as an upgrade though...
