Filet Mignon and peas in a red wine sauce I made. :) Though I miss being home where there is a grill. Broiled filet mignon doesn't taste the same as grilled. :(

I'll have to try the Samatran-Reserve. Where do you get your K-Cups? I've been getting mine from CoffeeCow Anything over $45 gets shipped for free. Since I live on Long Island and they ship out of NJ, I usually get my order in 2 days. I usually order 6 boxes :)

I usually just go to Bed Bath and Beyond, they seem to have the biggest selection of cups... I always run out before I decide to get them online so I need to get them asap hahaha

Will have to grab some of that iced tea but the irony ... fair trade coffee put in a cup that cannot be recycled. ;)

Yeah the teas are awesome since you just brew it over ice.

I always make mine on a wrought-iron skillet. Put the skillet in the oven at 500º until it's up to temperature, take it out of the oven and put it on the stove at high heat, put the filets onto the skillet dry for 30 seconds on each side, then back into the oven for 2 or 3 minutes. Take it out again and put it onto the stove at a low temp and add butter, onions, and red wine.

Oh. My. Gosh. :p

I would like to know how you make your sauce though :) Looks like cream, maybe butter, and red wine?

Yeah, though I am thinking of removing the butter from the sauce( I have been messing with it a little bit every time I make it). So basically red wine and heavy cream( I don't measure it, I just pour enough to take the bitter taste away from the red wine).

I also usually have that meal with noodles, but I didn't have any. I had peas so I made some peas and they drowned in the sauce. Surprisingly, they didn't taste that bad after mixing in with the sauce.

Sounds delicious! I'll have to try it...I haven't made many cream-based sauces. The hardest part about adding butter to sauce is since it's basically an oil, it has a tendency to separate out. It's just so good though :p The peas look like a perfect pair for the filet :)
