I only have these two apart from the ones that come in pods, phones and what not. They do what I need (quick photos that isn't sucky iPod-quality and the Canon records movies in HD), but I can't help that I want a better one.

My Canon 550D\T2i with the 18-55 kit lens, the Rode VideoMic, LCD Viewfinder and the Velbon DF60 tripod.

The LCD viewfinder arrived last week, i've used it for 2-3 days and i'm loving it, a MUST for videographers, best 15.99£ i've spent (yeah, its one of those really cheap ones), the tripod isn't the best for video, but it's not bad for the price (50€).

Next on the want list: Flash, LED videolight, a canon 50mm 1.8 and a new backpack because my eastpak is getting small for all this gear and my 13" mbp (the tripod has its own bag)

Revival. I posted this in the last purchase thread but wanted to share here too.

OM-D
Panasonic 25mm f1.4
Olympus 12-50mm f3.5-6.3
cheapo tripod with ballhead

On the list is to get a UV filter for the 25mm and a polarizer for the 12-50. I am still on the fence about whether the 25mm was worth $500 over a 20mm f1.7.

heh thx, i updated since that post... gripped 5DMK2 w/ 70-200mm f/2.8 IS II

How's the 70-200? It's definitely my next lens. Wish i'd gotten it or the 85mm f/1.2 before i bought the 50 f/1.2, actually, because i already had the 50 f/1.8

I've only been shooting for just over a month, but I'm loving it and it's definitely one of my favorite hobbies! :D

Photo was shot with my Galaxy SIII:

My first DSLR

Here is a pic of my first DSLR. I've had it about 3 months and I am very impressed with it. It was a huge step up from my old bridge camera.

It is a Canon 550d/T2i with an 18-55mm Canon Lens and a Sigma 70-300mm Lens.

Here is my favourite photo that i have taken with it so far.

I've added a 70-200mm F/2.8 VR II Zoom-Nikkor to my list of lenses and camera gear. I absolutely love that lens.

But a friend of mine now has a D4.. And a 200-400mm F/4.0G VR II Zoom-Nikkor. About 30 minutes of using that combination myself has me absolutely in awe of both. A very sensitive camera with a lens that has good VR and a decent maximum aperture. It's awesome. I now want a D4 myself - so the old D3s might have to be traded in.

Small portion of my stuff.

Sigma 35 f/1.4 ART
50 f/1.8

I just sold my T3i and the nifty 50mm and picked up an EOS M. I love it.

I'm planning on picking up a Canon EOS 1DX in the near future. Anyone know if there's a newer version coming soon that I should wait for?

Future Canon product releases are as tight lipped than Apple. If you need the 1DX, you may as well get it now. No sense losing revenue while you wait for the next flagship body.

Or you can just rent the 1DX for each shoot/project and bill the client in the expense invoice.

The EOS M is cool at the right price. I got the M + 22mm STM for $299 a few months ago. It's my everyday carry camera, now (just toss it in my messenger bag). My main complaint is the lack of a viewfinder. I can manage shooting with LCD only, but it's just annoying to have to hold it away from my face all the time.

I share with you the same sentiment. One of the irritations with the Sony RX1, let alone sell it as a standalone for $400 or so dollars
