How apropos, I just upgraded my connection to match the vastness of my new iMac 24. I doubled (or more) my speed for a mere 5 dollars more per month. I now pay about the equivalent of $40 US.

up: 665
dn: 6930

I used a speed test with a server in Japan.

I wish i knew how you all clipped those thumbnail screen shots...

I used apple key/shift/4 and cut round them.

Here's mine: not as fast as most on here. We had a free upgrade this year but it won't take effect until BT have finished working on the network. Was supposed to be done early this year . . .

512kbps today
1.5mb soon :) just found out today that my phone line can go faster now. About time too. a family of 5 (including Xbox Live and Steam) sapping away at 512kbps is a pain.

ISP just boosted speeds...nice!

Download Speed: 7112 kbps (889 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 543 kbps (67.9 KB/sec transfer rate)

Click on the North American English icon under the software button.

Click the I Agree button on the US - Export dialog should it appear.

Again, click on the North American English icon under the software button.

As it starts DL'ing, you will get another dialog. Click on the Download button and start timing.

Didn't take long.

Via the Chicago server from my university in Cleveland. Oh speed, how I love you so...going home to 5mbps cable over Christmas break will be sad...

My connection pwns all:

Price:
512kbs line- R362 ($49.70)
1Gb cap + 1 1Gb booster - R140+R99 ($32.81)

Total rip off: $82.51

Yes, it's a rip off! But I can't do anything about it :(

So how two questions. One how is everyone posting the pics like that? and second how accurate is that test. The Comcast guy showed me it and we checked my line and we were hitting 7.5mbs but my internet is running like a dog... it is sometimes fast, most of the time slow at loading, and sometimes not responsive at all..

iGary are you using fiber optic or what?

speed...

(FIOS 30MBit tier, which for some reason is cheap in VA vs other places)
