Gee, I wonder if they are capping my uploads......

I think that's the lowest upload speed on here and I 3659 kbps for my download. On a side note, my retest got me 4642 with an upload of 61.

From my ISP:

Downstream is 3.081 Mbps
Upstream is .9219 Mbps

Using a test of downloading a huge file from a reliable server:

~405 kbps/sec

Edit: this is behind a firewalled wireless router, signal strength (According to Windows Wireless Zero Configuration: "Very Good" (4/5 Bars)

Not if you have Cox as I do.

Called them last night about possible changes to my TV service. Was sweet talked in to doing their Premiere HSI (15 up/2 down) for just $29.95 a month for six months. A savings of $10 a month over their 5/2 service. Lets hope they do for me what Comcast did.

BTW here are my numbers DC first, NYC second, and SF last (pretty disappointed so far):

Wait, are you saying you're paying for Download Speeds of 15,000 and Upload Speeds of 2,000 and you're getting those kinds of speeds?

Using InsightBB's 4000kbps connection...$30 a month

This is about average, but sometime more and sometimes a lot less.

I really had to search for a good DNS and messed around with settings an awful lot for these speeds. I was getting half that until last week when I really had time to mess with it.

Don't be too jealous..

#1 Here -> DC
#2 here -> Hot 'Lanta

Not really. Before August (I think), I was 4mbps/512k, on cable. Of course, if they were to completely uncap the line, I'd mess myself :eek:

These things really vary depending on what testing system you use.

Using SpeakEasy, my previous stats for my work connection were 31727/15916 (See post #101 in this thread for the pic).

Now here's my latest one from MegaPath (this is my work connection again):
2006-01-12 19:23:30 EST: 41811 / 28865
Your download speed : 41811 kbps or 5226.4 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 28865 kbps or 3608.1 KB/sec.

I did it a second time on MegaPath, and it went so fast (the applet barely had time to display anything) that I got the result shown below. :D

EDIT: Never mind. iMac being a piece of $#!T and won't load the pic. Will be up very soon

This doesn't seem to bad, especially since it is over my wireless, and the two hard lined PC's are downloading rather large files as I type this.....
