Replacing my old Bowers & Wilkins P5's with the P5 Wireless. Also have the Jabra Sport Wireless+ for workouts.

The Bowers & Wilkins P5s are the best headphones, bar none, that I have ever had. I love them - stylish, comfortable, beautifully built, great audio, and very portable. Mine have - quite literally - travelled the world with me, and my first pair dates back to 2011.

When dod the P5 wireless come out? I am fascinated and agog; do, please - both of you - let me know how you find them. More important still, enjoy them.

They came out just a few months ago. So far they're absolutely fantastic. I've only had about 12 hours with them so far and I was told to have around 40 hours of listening before I judge them. I will let you know more thoroughly what I think about them. Big thumbs up so far! :)

Sounds terrific; what does the the fact that they are labelled as having a 'wireless' feature mean? How do they compare size wise with the older P5s?

Anyway, many thanks for your reply and I hope you really enjoy them.

I used my B&W P5's on the drive home this evening and noticed I could hear a lot of background noise, traffic, the tyres on the road etc. Stopped and switched over to my C5's and wow! What a difference, great isolation. Much better for travelling. The C5's (series2) really are a cracking pair of headphones.

Thanks for the reply - and recommendation; I'm a big fan of the B&Ws - they are superb headphones.

Ah. So, the C5 (series 2) really is that much better than the earlier series 1? I have the latter, and - while it is very good - I find I prefer to use my P5s when travelling as they are so much more comfortable than the C5s.

B&W P7s. They have such a great sound! Combined with the Apogee duet makes an excellent combo for me.View attachment 590564

Terrific headphones - I have them and they are really excellent.

Great to see so many of you enjoying B&W products.

Isn´t it dangerous to drive while using noise cancelling headphones? It would seem so. You should be able to hear the traffic noise surrounding you.

Does anyone know how the B&W P5 Wireless works for people with glasses?

I don't have the wireless version. But I find the P5s uncomfortable when wearing my glasses. My glasses do have quite thick arms though, which I suppose doesn't help.

They're not noise cancelling. You can still hear traffic etc. What I was talking about is the transference of the noise from the tyres on the road.

Damn :( What I thought. Thanks. Then I must look for something else.

Not necessarily.

For what it is worth, I wear glasses - indeed, I have worn them since I was a small child, and I can attest to the fact that - for me - the B&W P5s are the most comfortable headphones I have ever had in my life. They have travelled everywhere with me and I absolutely love them; I have found that I can wear them for hours on end - especially on long haul flights.

Now, the 'arms' of my frames are neither extraordinarily thin metal, nor very thick.

Missed out on P7s this month... forgot mortgage was due...

Gift from friend... very nice...

Shame there's no passive option tho...

Edit... had about 3-4 hours with them over the weekend... very super. Bass is terrific and noise cancelling seems to work well... crowded pub listening. They sound as good as I remember my Beyer Dynamic studio phones (which I lost to a studio!).

Really had my mind set on some P7s but I'm warming to these very much.

like most, i've had a plethora of headphones in the past...these are what i use most:

shure e2c's (my first noise canceling earphones)...these were my everyday workhorse, sadly they no longer work, are discontinued and replaced w/ a newer model.

from my previous smartphone, Samsung Galaxy S4 earphones...these actually sound decent and are noise canceling. i removed the stock ear plugs and paired them with my old shure e2c ones and they fit will and to me improved the sound quality. i use these exclusively at home or the gym. bought a second pair off eBay for travel, biking and when i'm studying their plugged into my MBP/MBA.

the next two are my DJ headphones, Sony MDR-V700...though their old, they've been my tried and true headphones when i DJ.

and the back ups, Sony MDR-V500...

Has anyone here used the Sony MDR-7506?? I'm debating between those and the Audio Technica M40x. I've seen many great reviews for both. I'm no audiophile by any means but I want good sounding headphones without the boomy bass. I can easily tell the difference between good sound and bad sound but I'm certainly no audio expert. More and more I'm getting into stuff like movie scores (orchestral), classical and older artists like Billy Joel or Bruce Springsteen. I've never been much into hip-hop/rap but I do like a few songs. Any recommendations? I'd prefer to keep it under $200 (Canadian).

These are what I'm using now.

When I'm out and about I just use the Apple EarPods simply because I don't feel comfortable wearing big headphones outside going places.
