i went to a classical concert tonight and i want to know,
is there any headphone that can replicate the beauty of it?
it wasn't mic'ed up at all, and every one i have been to that has been, mic'ed up, the beauty was destroyed.

I have gone through numerous headphones! ... in ear as well as on ear...these are what I am currently using:
Sony MDR 7506 in my studio (I plan on getting Sennheiser 280HD Pro for the studio), Koss Porta Pro (for my mp3 player), GK UltraPhones (for when I'm practicing & recording on the drums!)
How well do the ultraphones work? i use a pair of the metrophone's studio cans, they work ok i still get a little bit of bleed, why i ask is i've been having a little bit of hearing issues because i've been playing drums for about 15 years and i'm looking for the best isolation any input would be awesome
I have no use for that I just use my mbp.. And I wouldn't spend $500 on q cable lol but thanks
Like I stated earlier, I have tried tons of hearing related products, Metrophones Studio Kans being one of them! The Metros are okay for a bit of attenuation but the GK's are in another league. The GK UltraPhones are a hybrid product....They are high isolation 29db, hearing protection ear muff with Sony MDR 7506 drivers installed. For me they work extremely well.... providing just enough bleed from my drums, allowing me to hear the drums while playing to music or a click without an abnormally high volume. You can use them for live gigs thus protecting your ears from overly loud bandmates or an aggressive monitor mix.
When I do live gigs I always wear these (unless I'm doing a light jazz gig). Just be very aware of your volume while wearing any hearing device. (some people play louder because they are not used to hearing themselves at a reduced volume).
I hope this helps....if you want more info, just let me know.
ill be getting the sennheiser ie7's shortly will post pics when i get them...
