Just curious, Katie, do you also make your own clothes? You seem so artistically inclined!

Viola, eh? I never could get bass clef much less alto. Seems so random. I played violin for years though. Still have mine but I haven't touched it in 3+ years.

Woo hoo! My 500th post! Now if I just knew what I wanted for an avatar...

I make some of my own clothes, but I measure and measure, CAREFULLY, the whole measure twice cut once thing, but they always come out TOO BIG!!!
bahh, I've given up on making my own clothes, outside simple skirts.

Yup. I've got Treble, alto and bass down. I go to an arts school, so I have to know both treble (for reading) and bass (for doing theory) and.. alto (for reading, again)
It's not that card once you get used to it. :)

congrats on post 500! rock on!! (I'm so close! SO CLOSE!)

*throws confetti and streamers* Wooo!

(oh Katie I really hope you don't mind the minor thread detours, if so please tell me to "shut it" and I'll bring it to PMs or something)

devilot: the woman sign, it's a secret ;) - ok so not really, I just used lucida unicode font and pasted it in. technically it's a character set from font

try copying it and adjusting the size/color or whatever in your sig. I like it because there aren't that many of us "Apple Chicks" (get it, the apple and then the woman sign?)

No, I don't care. If everything were on topic, this thread would have like 2 posts, haha.
True that!

AppleSpider, I'm sad, I've only knit three scarves-- two this last winter, and one the previous winter. But I'm still woefully slow and cumbersome. There is no way I could even dream of attempting 4 needles!!! And a tiny, intricate project like that knit "stocking."

::Edit:: iBlue, I didn't notice your feeling of smilies...

I made a scarf and it took a freaking long time!!
It's synthetic yarn that I doubled up, so it's soooo big and warm and fluffy and nice. :)

I can't deal with small knitting needles. they take FOREVER!
Gah! I like for my needle size to at least match my shoe size! (ten. I have huge feet. bla)

MAN, I wish I had plastic skillz.

Thanks. Not really plastic skillz.. (;)) I just made a wooden mould, heated up the plastic to floppy state, pressed it into the mould, and let it go hard. :)

Nice case Jack, am also jealous of plastic and associated skillz. I also miss school and the oppurtunities for befriending teachers and being able to abuse school equipment :D

Also, Katie, I also have that very top on Craftster bookmarked to make! I need to find some good fabric. Did you get any?

I just made my boyfriend an iPod case, as he's been most kind and found me a summer job where he works. Yay! He just bought a big fat 60 GB one, and has got a clear case on order, so I thought I'd make him one to go over the clear case for when it's in his bag. And I learnt blanket stitch in order to do it! I'd love to say I did it to learn new thread skillz, but it's because to sew round the top, I wouldn't fit over the end of my sewing machine (duh!) and when I tried hand sewing it in a straight stitch, it looked very cack handed indeed.

So, here goes. It's grey felt, with black fleece inside, and blue elastic cord stuff and wooden beads.

Sorry to hear that your baby had issues... Since you're online now, I'm assuming all went well?

Noooo, :( , it went this morning. So I'm on a PC, and I can't type cause the keys aren't in the right place, and it's vile and cumbersome. And I can't use the same shortcuts! I never realised how dependent I'd become....

Still, no doubt it'll be good for me to get off the computer a bit for a week or so. And by the time it comes back every household object will have a felt case :D

By the way, that took about 10 times as long to type....grrr.

I agree, when I'm away from an Apple for over a day, I realize how much I've gotten used to the keyboard shortcuts, and just, the ease of the apps and whatnot.
