That is in no way related to what I wrote. To each, his/her own.

I hope Apple will one day allow skinning of the devices. I could never deal with this workaround way that is pretty popular right now. Having the shortcuts app open first would drive me nuts.
Agreed. Maybe in my old Android days almost 10 years ago but not anymore. I wouldn’t be surprised if icon theming becomes a thing though considering all the Android-like features we’re now getting.
Size means nothing.I still can't believe how many of my apps will not have widget support. I mean all my financial apps (Credit Cards and Fidelity) would be ripe for Widgets and nothing is happening. It's still general bug fixes. I remember when IOS 13 came out and everyone was updating apps within the first week. In terms of apps being compatible for IOS 14, that might be my biggest disappointment. I can understand independent developers, but I'm talking about big corporations here (Or in the case of Pocket Casts, NPR). They have the money, or so I think.
Conversely, the larger companies like Google, Facebook, heck even Spotify have nothing to prove. They know that people are going to download and use their apps regardless of what state they are in, but these are household names and what other choice is there?
Ironically, despite this customisation making each iPhone unique, the iPhone itself has lost its uniqueness - it now just about resembles every other Android smartphone.
Not saying it’s a bad thing btw.
I do wish widgets didn’t have the name of the app grafted onto them. e.g, a photo widget displayed with ‘Acme Photo Widgets’ written underneath or a calendar widget reminding you that it is part of the ‘Fantastic Calendar’ app kind of detracts from the aesthetic value of the widget screen.
At the very least Apple ought to give its long suffering users the option of turning off widget labels. Hell, even letting app developers offer this feature as part of a paid pro upgrade or a small one time fee would be preferable to having no option at all.
That lost uniqueness on the iPhone part was mainly referring to aesthetics, BR485. How the iPhone has lost its simple, tiled look that even had an emoji based on it; (📱). So now that it has Widgets, it no longer resembles the rooftops of Barcelona. How so?
On another note, I really don’t like that Color Widget that has the day overlapping the time...
