Yep. That’s pretty much it for now. This was my fear.. Aren't the widgets interactive? So they just show information and if you click it opens the app? It's kind of useless that way.

Apple Mail is for my iCloud account. What's the reason for having two mail clients on the home screen?
Apple Mail is for my iCloud account.
Gmail is for my Gmail account.
Apple Mail can't push Gmail.
Gmail can't push Apple Mail.
That's why two apps.
Stupid, I know. And all because two companies can't find a compromise. So the consumer suffers.
That’s not Push. You launched the app, that’s why it fetched new mail. Push is when it automatically fetches new mail as it arrives even when the phone is locked, disconnected from power and WiFi.Huh.
I only use Mail. I have my iCloud account, 2 gmail accounts, 3 outlook accounts, and a personal mail server and don't have any issues with any of them.
In fact, just now, I launched Mail on my phone. I was last in my 'Mailboxes' list and so that's where I landed. While the 'Unread' count was 5, before and after I launched Mail. When I first launched it there was a marking of 3 unread next to one of my outlook accounts .... and within a second or two, a '1' showed up next to each of my gmail accounts.
Maybe there's a delay when that unread marker shows up outside the app, maybe not. All I know is that I've never had a problem with the stock Mail app and a reasonably sized heterogeneous set of accounts.
But, that's why we all have options.. Personally, I would find it much more intrusive to have to check multiple mail clients to get my mail rather than just tugging 'down' on the mailbox list when I launch Mail 'just to be sure'.
I use Outlook for work email and Mail for personal accounts. Keep ‘em separated. What's the reason for having two mail clients on the home screen?
One large smart stack, one small smart stack, and one battery widget that’s fixed. Still tinkering around with it, it’s subject to change as more apps get updated

We see you with your covert "I have a Tesla" bragView attachment 927413
Liking this setup. But I hope they can make the Shortcuts smaller to fit more within the widget size.
You can have a blank home screen and just have widgets to the left and app library to the right. I didn‘t keep this option but just wanted to see if it was possible.
By the way, I don't know why it says 77 calories burned, it's a bug I swear haha

I'm too OC... anally retentive to like my app icons moving around by themselves, but as a test I filled a page with three Siri app suggestion widgets and it's smart enough to not duplicate any apps. This is fun! I'm going to keep that page just to see which apps I use the most. Also to note, I have actually removed all app icons from my home screen apart from the dock. I have instead decided to use the Siri suggestions widget so it dynamically changes based on the apps I use.
The developer of the app will have to update it with the new widget functionality. "Old" widgets remain functional on the dedicated widget page most left on the homescreen. Can you create a widget from a third party app?
yes, the "widget page" still is thereNot really liking the idea of widgets on my iPhone’s app screen. Can you still keep them in the widget page by swiping right?
However I may like them on my iPad.
I was actually thinking that I like that the widget only show rain info if it’s going to rain. If no rain is expected, it just shows the temperature. For example, Apple bought Dark Sky just to show precipitation reports only it’s going to rain and doesn’t show it all the time? That’s not really how Dark Sky works now.
I have a watch and moved the apps, just drag'm like any other app?Wish I could remove the watch and activity app from the home screen. The only two apps that are for some random reason required on the home screen if a watch is paired.
