I'm not sure why anyone would store TV shows when they are available everywhere online. Seems to be a waste of a good hard drive.

I look at my iTunes as my digital hub, as I'm sure most people do. All of my TV show DVDs are boxed away in storage, new shows being purchased online, sometimes in boxsets, ripped and boxed away or downloaded (though I do try to limit that).
Ideally I want to have all of my content available through iTunes (Apple TV, iPod, computer) because it seems harder to control the quality from online sources (mostly because I can't get Hulu and rely on other not-so-legitimate streams). Hard drive prices are getting cheaper and cheaper and storing it all on a NAS is becoming more and more affordable... now if there was a subscription iTunes service and I could get all of the shows I normally watch... then perhaps it becomes a little bit less necessary to store it all.

I need more tunes.

I've only started filling up my library since late November anyway, so wuh.

Quite a modest library, but I don't keep music I don't like, so I listen to all theses songs at one point. All from CD's except one album from iTunes, had to spend a voucher some way (This was before my iPod Touch)

I used to always have a huge directory of music (~140GB) until I realized and asked myself "what's the point?". Since then I deleted it and started over only moving over the music I really listen to. Otherwise it just makes finding songs harder. I don't know how some of you can do it!

Thats the size of my iTunes on my 13" Pro. Most of it is TV Shows and this is my library of visual information:

Veronica Mars Season 1-3
Lost Season 4 - 5
Desperate Housewives 4 - Latest Episode
Heroes 1- Latest episode
V The 4 Episodes
The Apprentice Ireland Season 2
Harpers Island Season 1
King of the Hill Season 13 Episode 10 - Last

Eh iTunes Search + Playlists. When ever I get new tracks i usually purchase I shove them into the "Hot" Playlist then when it gets over 10 songs 1 get taken out everytime a new one is put in

Where ever my life takes me...
Wow!

Hey all,

Impressive libraries out there! I just reached the 300GB mark  but I still have a long way to go. I have about 50GB left on my internal 500GB hard drive and I intend on filling it with music!

Let's keep the thread going
