Hopefully they bought the 2 GHz version of the MB. If you're paying $300 for the backlit keyboard, it's a rip-off. If you really care about the difference in speed, I guess it's a different story.

On the other hand, it's a steal compared to what you get from the mid-range 2.53 GHz MBP. That is definitely not worth the upgrade from the base 2.4 GHz MBP. It's not even worth an extra $100. Even for those users who are absolutely in need of the most power they can get in a laptop, it's not worth the extra cost. Tests really haven't shown much of a difference between them.

Just got the sweetest MIDI controller. Well the sweetest controller keyboard. It was kind of sad that Automapping really is not all that automatic. You still have to set most of it up. From what I hear this is less a problem when running Live. I use Logic for recording and Live for well live gigs, So I guess I'll find that one out soon enough. Great solid controller. Best feature is the mod and pitch wheel and not that stupid joystick Novation puts on everything. Just wish it was steel instead of plastic, even though the plastic is rather high quality. Beats the regular SL in my opinion.

Oh, and the semi weighted keys-----freakin' heaven!!!!

Only went in to the Apple store to have a look at them. Also took advantage of the printer rebate offer and took home the Canon MX310, only wanted it for the scanner as Canon no longer make OSX drivers for my old scanner.

Sweet dude! how much for "all" of it? I'm getting this early next year

Are you asking me how much I spent on the TD-20 and Flexi Glide pedals?
If you are, the total cost was $5795 for the TD-20 and $325 for the Tama Flexi Glide. I also got a pair of high end headphones, but they were only about $120, which I would recommend if you were to buy a V-Drum set.

I have the TD-20 on financing for a year because I can't afford that much money so soon after buying a new car.

I put $3000 down on the TD-20 and pay $285 a month. This is all done from the Long & McQuade music store close to me. I am pretty sure they are also in the US (if that's where you live).

This is all Canadian funds btw.
A great purchase, one of the best I have ever made.

Just bought some random Sony Bravia something-V4000 and another random Sony HDD/DVD recorder. Improvement over the last living room TV, some 8 year old Panasonic thing.

*yea I don't really know much about model numbers and such. Just that it was expensive and looked ruddy nice compared to the other TVs at Costco. :) Still using the old TV's stand and surround sound system till we get a new one.

Oh dear is there a difference?!

We have Super Unleaded, and Unleaded. I just go for regular unleaded, but I couldn't tell you the rating. Anyone here buy their petrol from Tesco and can answer this question?!

Breakfast... Mmmm... wish it was something healthier but, this was what the Wife and I had this morning and yes, it was the last thing I've purchased. :D And no, it most certainly did NOT look like that perfect Sausage McMuffin in the pic... bleh.

First is Mine, Second is for Work. "They" actually paid for it. I couldn't get approved for a 2k Machine but they would approve me 1300 one.. :) Love the new though..
